What’s Going On In Charleston Friday, June 9th

Spoleto Festival USA – fills Charleston’s historic theaters, churches, and outdoor spaces with performances by renowned artists as well as emerging performers in opera; theater; dance; and chamber, symphonic, choral, and jazz music.

Palmetto Brewing Loading Dock Music Series – Join Palmetto Brewing for the 2016 Loading Dock Music Series. Live shows every Friday at 289 Huger St. Performances begin at 6, and the music goes until close at 10PM!

Where: Palmetto Brewing, downtown Charleston

When: Friday, 6 p.m.

Music On The Green – Each  of the concert performances will be held on the Village Green in Freshfields Village, located at the crossroads of Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. The series will continue every Friday night through September 1st. Music this week: Groove Train.

Party At The Point – The weather is warming up and we’re itchin’ to get our toes in the sand at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina! It’s time for another amazing, fun-filled season of Party at the Point! This week’s live music: Broadcast 90 – The Ultimate 90s Tribute Band.

Charleston Night Market – Area ​Artists and Artisans will take over the Charleston City Market as  THE NIGHT MARKET continues this weekend! The Night Market is located in the Charleston City Market, Charleston’s #1 most visited attraction; a venue where over 50 area artisans, artists, food vendors, and local musicians gather together, each Friday, Saturday & night, to create a memorable evening. 6:30 pm-10:30 pm.

Friday Night Boogie At The Pier – The Mount Pleasant Pier will be rockin’ with the sounds of DJ Jim Bowers spinning a variety of unforgettable oldies, beach music classics, and line dancing hits!

Charleston Farmers Market – Checkout the Charleston Farmers Market every Saturday in beautiful Marion Square and peruse the aisles, where you will enjoy a wide variety of 100+ Local Vendors, artisans and craftsmen, as well as farmers and growers!

When: Saturday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Charleston Duck Race – The race is a day of fun with something for everyone! There are games, jump castles, face painters, music, food vendors and more! Bring the whole family and join in the celebration.

Colonial Charleston Reenactment – The main event will be a series of military living history engagements on Johns Island, at Legare Farms. The first battle will be a recreation of a Royal Navy landing party during the early part of the siege of Charles Town.

Alligator Jacks Crawfish Festival – Food & Fun For The Whole Family. Crawfish! Craft Beer, Cajun Food, Festival Food, Arts & Crafts, Jump Castles. Tickets: $10 Advance Tickets Only. $15 At The Gate.

Bendy Brewski Yoga – Accessible and fun Yoga inside the brewery for 45 minutes followed by a flight or pint of craft beer! We always some mats to borrow and your teacher Michele is kind, fun and knowledgeable!

Sunday Brunch @ The Granary – The Granary is now serving brunch again every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Indulge in dishes such as duck and waffles, shrimp and grits or huevos rancheros along with mimosas, bloody marys, Moscow mules and other brunch cocktails.

Second Sunday On King Street – Now on the Second Sunday of each month from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, King Street will be closed to vehicle traffic to celebrate Southern Sunday afternoons by welcoming everyone to stroll, shop, dine and enjoy Charleston at its finest.
