What To Do In Charleston On Friday, July 8th

Party At The Point: The Dubplates – The Dubplates, a reggae/dancehall riddim band born and raised in Charleston, draws much of its identity from the diversity of both its members and its fanbase. Party at the Point tickets: $7.00. Cash Only for entry and food/beer inside the venue.

Palmetto Brewing Loading Dock Music Series – Join Palmetto Brewing for the 2016 Loading Dock Music Series. Live shows every Friday at 289 Huger St. Performances begin at 6, and the music goes until close at 10PM!

Jam On The Water Concert Cruise – The 4th Charleston Jam on the Water Craft Beer Concert Cruise is Friday, July 8th featuring a Widespread Panic Tribute by 54 Bicycles and concessions by Bohemian Bull. As always, we’ll have plenty of ice cold Sweetwater Brew and a full wine & liquor bar.

Charleston Night Market – Area ​Artists and Artisans will take over the Charleston City Market as  THE NIGHT MARKET continues this weekend! The Night Market is located in the Charleston City Market, Charleston’s #1 most visited attraction; a venue where over 50 area artisans, artists, food vendors, and local musicians gather together, each Friday, Saturday & night, to create a memorable evening. 6:30 pm-10:30 pm.

Greensky Bluegrass w/ Town Mountain – Town Mountain will be opening for the Greensky Bluegrass band hailing from Michigan. Greensky Bluegrass is finishing up recording their new album which will released sometime this fall.

What To Do In Charleston On Saturday, July 9th

Palmetto Paddle – There will be a 3 mile fun course that goes up the Ashley River and a 8 mile elite course that goes into the scenic Charleston harbor.  The race is open to all paddle disciplines and vessels with 8 or less paddlers (e.g. kayak, outrigger canoes, SUPs, rowed boats, etc).

Charleston Farmers Market – Located in Marion Square in the heart of Historic District in Downtown Charleston, SC, the CFM is open each Saturday, from April 9th through November 26th, 8 AM to 2 PM. There are a variety of local produce, plants, herbs and cut flowers as well as breakfast and lunch vendors, live entertainment and an assortment of juried arts and crafts from local artisans.

Johns Island Homegrown Farmers Market – The aim of Homegrown is to be a point of sustainable connection for the Lowcountry community. Homegrown also holds a mission of bringing interactive ways to educate your community on the health and environmental benefits of making sustainable choices. Homegrown offers classes, demos, and interactive opportunities for locals to be active in making sustainable choices in their lives.

ReFORM Studios: Obstacle Course Fun Run -ReFORM studios is hosting another one of their Obstacle Course Fun Runs on Saturday July 9th at 10:00 am… but this time they’re pairing up with the South Carolina Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help raise money for this great cause! The course will start at 10AM and end at COAST Brewing Company at 11AM where they will finish up with a celebration!

Southern Funk Showdown @ Charleston Pourhouse –  The Southern Funk Showdown will be featuring Saturn Valley, Tomatoband, Heal with Hearts Kids Drum Circle. This event is hosted by Wes Powers of Sol Driven Train.

Ghost Monkey Brewing Grand Opening – The wait is almost over; Ghost Monkey Brewing will be opening to the public on Saturday, July 9th at 4:00pm – 8:00pm. The following weekend (July 15-17) there will be a grand opening with events, music, food trucks and of course brewskies!

Gaslight Street @ Hometeam Sullivans Island – Too many bands know how to rock but rarely take the time to roll. Gaslight Street isn’t one of those. What To Do In Charleston On Sunday, July 10th

26th Annual Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series – The five-race Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series at James Island County Park features a 600-yard freshwater swim, 12-mile bike ride, and 5K flat run. Over 30,000 people have raced the series over the years, and the series has been honored as one of the Top Ten Charleston Signature Sport Events by the Charleston Metro Sports Council.

Brunchin’ In The USA @ Bay Street Biergarten – Taking it back to the early 2000s with Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Destiny’s Child, and more. There will be a special brunch menu + we’ll be pouring bloody mary’s and mimosas all day while we jam out with DJ Natty Heavy.

North Mt. Pleasant Farmers Market – The Rusty Rudder Mount Pleasant is proud to host the North Mt. Pleasant Farmers’ and Craft Market Every Sunday from 11am-3pm. Featuring items from local vendors in the Lowcountry.

Second Sunday On King Street – Charleston’s most exciting shopping and dining district is King Street, the most unique Main Street in the world. Now on the Second Sunday of each month from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, King Street will be closed to vehicle traffic to celebrate Southern Sunday afternoons.

8th Round of the Budweiser Bikini Bash – The Budweiser Bikini Bash is a long-standing tradition drawing locals and visitors from all over the Charleston area. For more than 25 years, the Windjammer Budweiser Bikini Bash has showcased some of “Charleston’s finest bikini-clad ladies”.
