What To Do In Charleston On Friday, May 20th

American Craft Bier Week – Bay Street Biergarten will be offering 20% off bier cards all week long to celebrate this glorious occasion. Each time you fill your bier, 20% of the bier in your glass is free. Plus, pouring your own bier is just a straight up good time. So grab your friends, mark your calendars, and head out to the Garten for a delicious brew.

Clicquot Journey: Old Village Street Party – To celebrate their much-anticipated return, we’re popping up a pleasant little street party in the heart of the historic Old Village on Pitt Street Bridge, complete with delicious bites from local chefs, great music, festive games, stunning coastal views, and an unlimited helping of champagne.

Party At The Point w/ Dangermuffin – All Events are $7.00. Cash Only for entry and food/beer inside the venue. On Dangermuffin’s 2010 release Moonscapes, the Folly Beach, S.C.-based trio sang about home. Even they couldn’t have expected the extent of that paradox — the album grew the band into a traveling national act.

Charleston Night Market – Area ​Artists and Artisans will take over the Charleston City Market as  THE NIGHT MARKET continues this weekend! RiverDogs Home Game – Wear red to the box office to support the military and save $1 off your ticket OR donate that dollar to the Wounded Warrior Corps. Gates open at 6:00PM with first pitch at 7:05PM.  Fireworks after the game!

Disco Lemonade @ The Windjammer – Tickets are $6 at the door. NOT a disco band! We just like the name..Disco Lemonade is a 90’s cover band playing your favorite 90’s pop/alt rock/hip pop/grunge hits!

Charleston Farmers Market – Located in Marion Square in the heart of Historic District in Downtown Charleston, SC, the CFM is open each Saturday, from April 9th through November 26th, 8 AM to 2 PM. There are a variety of local produce, plants, herbs and cut flowers as well as breakfast and lunch vendors, live entertainment and an assortment of juried arts and crafts from local artisans.

Johns Island Homegrown Farmers Market – The aim of Homegrown is to be a point of sustainable connection for the Lowcountry community. Homegrown also holds a mission of bringing interactive ways to educate your community on the health and environmental benefits of making sustainable choices. Homegrown offers classes, demos, and interactive opportunities for locals to be active in making sustainable choices in their lives.

Berlin’s 30th Anniversary Food Truck Rodeo – There will be delicious Charleston street food, tasty local brews, fun tunes for dancing, a dunk booth for dunking your favorite Berlin’s employees, and pets to adopt! Don’t feel guilty for drinking a couple beers either; all proceeds from beer sales will be donated to the Charleston Animal Society.

Grand Opening: The Club At Cresswind – The event includes culinary demonstrations, fitness and yoga mini-classes, a featured artist and entertainment from the Ocean Drive Party Band. Refreshments will be served. There is no charge to attend.

Southern Season Wine & Food Festival – Guests are invited to stop by the Southern Season store to get a wristband for the festival and a complimentary glass of wine. Vendors will be pouring tastings from about 50 different wines, and featured wines will be 20% off during the festival.

Marlon Wayans Comedy Tour – Comedian Marlon Wayans will be visiting the Charleston Music Hall for his Scandal-less comedy tour. He is recognized American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and film producer, beginning with his role as a pedestrian in I’m Gonna Git You Sucka in 1988.
