Music on the Green Concert Series. Enjoy a beautiful Lowcountry evening as you listen to the Shrimp City Slim’s unique take on the blues and bluegrass of the Lowcountry from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Bring your lawn chair and blankets. Big Kahuna Fishing Tournament. Don’t let the big one get away during this tournament held at the Folly Beach fishing pier. There are multiple categories to compete in, including Lady Anglers, Youth Anglers, and Senior Anglers, which makes this an event for the entire family. Prizes include a two-year lease on a Subaru Forester. On-site registration begins at 6:00 a.m. the day of the tournament. Fees for adults (Charleston County residents) are $10; seniors and children under 12 are $8.

23rd Annual Charleston Sprint Triathalon. Swim, bike and run at James Island County Park in the fifth and final race of the 2013 Charleston Sprint Triathalon series. The race begins at 7:15 AM. Tickets are $55–purchase early as the event is limited to 400 participants and often sells out.
