Beach Night Hike – Hands-on science discovery, journaling, and art encourage children to have fun while learning about the natural world. Adult chaperones are welcome to attend and require no registration. When the sunsets, the beach can be a magical place. Encounter the many hidden treasures like ghost crabs and whelks that emerge as the tide drops and the sun takes a nap. Prepare to get a little wet and sandy!

Cast Off Fishing Tournament – Part of the Memorial Waterfront Park complex, the 1250-foot long Mount Pleasant Pier stretches out into Charleston Harbor under the foot of the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge. Along with beautiful views, the pier offers great fishing! Online registration ends the Thursday before each tournament. On-site registration is available at 6 a.m. on the morning of each event. Bryan Adams at Family Circle Cup Stadium– Bryan Guy Adams is a Canadian singer, musician, producer, actor, social activist, and photographer. Adams rose to fame in North America with his album Cuts Like a Knife and turned into a global star with his 1984 album Reckless. For his contributions to music, Adams has garnered many awards and nominations, including 20 among 56 nominations, 15 Grammy Award nominations including a win for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television in 1992. He has also won MTV, ASCAP, American Music awards, two Ivor Novello Awards for song composition and has been nominated five times for Golden Globe Awards and three times forAcademy Awards for his songwriting for films.

Cornhole Tournament Benefiting Special Olympics– Safelite AutoGlass®, the nation’s largest provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, is hosting the Special Olympics Corn Hole Tournament which will benefit the Special Olympics South Carolina. Safelite AutoGlass has partnered with Special Olympics South Carolina, to help raise awareness and funds to support more than 22,593 Special Olympics South Carolina athletes. Free Magnolia Plantation & Gardens Admission with Blood Donation– Magnolia Plantation and Gardens is partnering with the American Red Cross to encourage blood donations in June by offering free admission to America’s oldest garden. Give blood or attempt to give blood at an American Red Cross blood drive or donation center in the tri-county to receive a coupon that can be redeemed before July 31. The free admission is not valid in conjunction with other discounts to Magnolia.There are opportunities to donate blood in June at 60 blood drives in the tri-county and at donation centers in Mount Pleasant and West Ashley.
