Things to do in Charleston Friday, April 29th

Charleston In-Water Boat Show – The Charleston In-Water Boat Show is the largest of its’ kind between Annapolis, Maryland and Tampa, Florida. The Charleston In-Water Boat Show takes place every April at the Bristol Marina and Brittlebank Park in downtown Charleston, South Carolina.

When: Friday, April 29th, 1 p.m. – Sunday,  May 1st
Party at the Point – Cash Only for entry and food/beer inside the venue. Departure (The Ultimate Journey Tribute Band) will be headlining. After 7 years together, Departure has become the most respected Journey tribute band in the nation. The band replicates the look, sound, and feel of the original 80’s rock group. Tickets: $7.00.

Palmetto Brewing Loading Dock Music Series – Join Palmetto Brewing for the 2016 Loading Dock Music Series. Live shows every Friday at 289 Huger St. Performances begin at 6, and the music goes until close at 10PM! Featured Food Truck this week is Short Grain!

Movies in Marion Square -This week’s movie is Inside Out brought to you by Terrace Theater. The fun starts at 6pm and as always, it’s FREE. The Movie will start at dark. Delicious treats brought to you D’Allesandro’s Pizza, Kickin’ Chicken, Roti Rolls, Corys Grilled Cheese, T&T Kettle Corn Sweet Lulu’s Bakery On Wheels and more! Plus Samuel Adams beer and wine will be available for sale!

Brent Pace 13th annual Champagne Campaign – This fun and exciting event will help raise funds to support my Great Strides fundraising efforts, and help the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation forward their mission to find a cure for all people with cystic fibrosis.

Charleston Night Market – Area ​Artists and Artisans will take over the Charleston City Market as  THE NIGHT MARKET continues this weekend! The Night Market is located in the Charleston City Market, Charleston’s #1 most visited attraction; a venue where over 50 area artisans, artists, food vendors, and local musicians gather together, each Friday, Saturday & night, to create a memorable evening. 6:30 pm-10:30 pm.

Things to in Charleston on Saturday, April 30th

Charleton Farmers Market – Located in Marion Square in the heart of Historic District in Downtown Charleston, SC, the CFM is open each Saturday, from April 9th through November 26th, 8 AM to 2 PM. There are a variety of local produce, plants, herbs and cut flowers as well as breakfast and lunch vendors, live entertainment and an assortment of juried arts and crafts from local artisans.

N. Charleston Art Fest – Take advantage of the many fantastic performances, exhibits, and activities taking place April 29-May 7 at the North Charleston art festival. Johns Island Homegrown Farmers Market – The aim of Homegrown is to be a point of sustainable connection for the Lowcountry community. Homegrown also holds a mission of bringing interactive ways to educate your community on the health and environmental benefits of making sustainable choices. Homegrown offers classes, demos, and interactive opportunities for locals to be active in making sustainable choices in their lives.

Charleston Home & Design Show – Check out elaborate displays from local home professionals specializing in tile, granite, construction, decor, and more, but also special events that will attract every member of the family.

Taste of James Island – Fun for the whole family at this friendly James Island cooking competition! Admission is easy – bring non perishable food items to support the pantry of The James Island Outreach and vote for your favorite cook! All American Crawfish Boil – One of our most popular events has been relocated to our new downtown location. Having previously been set in West Ashley the first weekend in May…this change reflects growth…and the need for space. Our outside stage will debut with this ambitious event.

Bluepoint Brewing “Toasted Tour” – Bluepoint Brewing is coming to our port stocked full with blue point beer, swag and one heck of a good time.
