Friday, June 28

82 Queen Bourbon Dinner. Jim Beam is the focus of these special summer events, as the talented staff at Charleston classic 82 Queen serves up dishes that both complement various Jim Beam bourbons but also use the bourbons within them. Tickets are $79 per person is purchased before the day of the event, and $99 per person at the door (if available). Contact 82 Queen at 843.723.7591 for more information or to make reservations.

Party at the Point. Elise Testone closes out the 2013 Party at the Point season. Doors open at 5:30, and the first band takes the stage at 6:30. Cash bar. Cover charge is $5 per person. Don’t forget your beach chair or blanket!

Patriots Day Camp.  Immerse yourself in Charleston’s colonial past during this kid-friendly day camp. Visit the dungeon at the Old Exchange Building, then practice military drills before learning how to cook the colonial way. This activity is hosted by the Charleston Museum, and is aimed towards children 7-12. $25 per child. Check out some other summer events for children by calling the Charleston Museum.

Saturday, June 29

Charleston Farmers Market. Time to stock up on the bountiful summer produce on sale by local farmers. Browse over 100 kiosks for fresh produce, local art, and fresh food. Marion Square. 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free.

Movies at Wannamaker County Park. Bring your lawn chair, pets and family to enjoy a movie under the stars. Madagascar 3 will be shown; the movie is included in the $1 park admission. The movie begins at dusk (usually around 8 PM). 8888 University Boulevard, North Charleston, SC.

Sunday, June 30

Red, White and Blue on the Green. Summerville’s town square is the site of a family-friendly Independence Day celebration featuring local food vendors, face painting stations, live music and crafting areas. Hosted by the Summerville D.R.E.A.M. Foundation, which is committed to the restoration of historic downtown Summerville. The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free.

Pool Party and Beach Club at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina. Harbor Resort and Marina is proud to host one of the funnest summer events this year. Enjoy the beautiful Lowcountry summer while listening to live DJs, sampling delicious food, and lounging by the pool. General admission is $10 per person. If you come by boat, you can dock for free before joining the party. VIP cabanas are also available for $500, and include a private waiter and complimentary drinks. Book early, and make sure to wear your best swimwear!
