Music in Charleston- Labor Day Weekend 2015   

7th Annual Lowcountry Jazz Festival – The 7th Annual Greater Charleston Lowcountry Jazz Festival will be filling the night air of the Holy City once again this year with a lineup of international jazz superstars. Charleston’s own trumpet player Charlton Singleton, sax players Gerald Albright and BK Jackson, and composer and bassist Marcus Miller will all perform, but perhaps no name shines as bright as singer and guitarist Jonathan Butler.

Fall Regae Jam – The goal of Fall Reggae Jam is to raise desperately needed funds for and an awareness of the existence of Montego Bay Animal Haven while providing the audience with incredible reggae performances. All proceeds benefit the Haven and the amazing work that is done there. This event is a collaboration of animal lovers, music lovers, talented musicians, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and businesses, all donating their time, talents and funding for a worthy cause.

 Outdoor Events in Charleston – Labor Day Weekend 2015

Folly Beach Labor Day Fireworks – Since inclement weather forced the cancellation of Folly Beach’s Fourth of July fireworks show, the organization that funds the fireworks has decided to make-up for it on Labor Day weekend. The Folly Association of Business will host the new fireworks display on Saturday, September 5th at 9 pm.The show will take place on 2nd Street East. For more information on Folly’s Labor Day weekend firework show, head toVisitFolly.com or download the free ‘Visit Folly’ smart phone app.

Beach Volleyball Labor Day Weekend Tournament – If you’re looking for something fun to do this Labor Day Weekend, join Charleston Beach Volleyball Social Club at Santi’s in Mt. Pleasant for a beach volleyball tournament. There will be division matches: A, B, and C. The competition will begin with pool play, then single match elimination. The top teams from each pool will advance to the next match. Register early for $60 or $80 day of the tournament. Registration is between 8-8:45 a.m. Tournament starts at 9 a.m.
