Labor Day Events In Charleston On Friday, August 30th

Striped Pig Distillery Tours and Tastings – Join us for tours & product tastings, Thursday & Friday 3-7 and Saturday 12-5. The last tours begin at 6 P.M. on Thursdays and Fridays and 4 P.M. on Saturdays. We also carry merchandise, and of course, all of our spirits are available for purchase at the distillery as well as in liquor stores and at bars and restaurants in South Carolina.

Pre-Happy Hour @ Edmund’s Oast -Daily Pre-Happy Hour — from 3:00-4:30 p.m. Enjoy 12-ounce house beers for $3 each and a featured wine by the glass for $3 per half pour and $6 per full pour. Stop by any day of the week to enjoy this!

Music on The Green -The free, family friendly concerts featuring a variety of music from regional bands including Carolina Beach music, Motown, Top 40, Country and more! Tonight’s band is  HiCALIBER (formerly Port Authority Band). Vendors will be set up with food and beverages for purchase. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.

Charleston City Night Market – The Charleston City Night Market is an exciting showcase of more than 100 talented artists and craftspeople that occurs every Friday and Saturday evening from April – December. The Night Market runs from 6:30 – 10:30 p.m and is a free event that is open to the public.

Jam on the Water: Folly Pirates Over 40 – Jimmy Buffett Tribute– The sunset series sets sail on April 19th with 12 dates, each featuring a local or regional band playing a tribute to a classic rock band or a theme party aboard the Carolina Queen. Each cruise will run from 7 pm to 9:30 pm, with a pre-cruise gathering at Salty Mike’s from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.

Lowcountry Jazz Festival All White Party Affair – Dress in your best WHITE attire and join us in celebrating the opening of the 11th Annual Lowcountry Jazz Festival.  The event will have an array of sweet and savory bites, curated to pair perfectly with award-winning wines.

Nightly Spirits Pub Tour – Nightly Spirits, the nation’s largest haunted pub tour company providing tours in 14 cities across the nation, is bringing its spooky ghost tales and lively tour guides to Charleston. Tour that includes some pub time to drown the darkness, locals and tourists ages 21-and-up will gain access to exclusive off-limits areas throughout Charleston’s most “spectered” saloons.

Charleston Farmer’s Market – Join us every Saturday in beautiful Marion Square and peruse the aisles, where you will enjoy a wide variety of 100+ Local Vendors, including; Farmers & Growers, Sweet & Savory Food Concessions.

Lowcountry Farmers Market – Every week the market will feature fresh produce from local farmers and growers, handmade arts, crafts, food trucks, vendors, music, entertainment and more.

Johns Island Homegrown Farmers Market – The aim of Homegrown is to be a point of sustainable connection for the Lowcountry community. Homegrown also holds a mission of bringing interactive ways to educate your community on the health and environmental benefits of making sustainable choices. Homegrown offers classes, demos, and interactive opportunities for locals to be active in making sustainable choices in their lives.

Repticon – Repticon, which first debuted in Charleston back in 2004, is a large reptile and exotic pet show. The convention includes vendors offering interactive live animal presentations, free raffles, shopping, and more.

Charleston RiverDogs Home Game – Each fan will receive a number corresponding to a bouncy ball that will be dropped onto the field following the game. The fan with the ball that lands inside the designated circle around home plate will come away with prizes including the $6,000 grand prize and a Natty Light Seltzer at-home tailgate.

3rd Annual Surf in the City Film Fest – The evening’s full lineup will be announced at a later time, but the event’s featured film is Heavy Water, which was directed by Michael Oblowitz and produced by Red Bull Media House and All Edge Entertainment.

Lowcountry Jazz Festival – The Lowcountry Jazz Festival, South Carolina’s premiere annual Smooth Jazz event, returns to– the Charleston Gaillard Center – and with a stellar lineup of superstar artists and up and coming instrumentalists and vocalists. The festival continues its Labor Day weekend tradition, kicking off Friday, August 30 with the All White Party Affair.

Atlas Road Crew Live – South Carolina rock ‘n’ roll shot with southern soul accents. Charleston Watches and Coffee – Charleston Watches and Coffee meets the first Sunday of every month to talk watches with local enthusiasts. All watches are welcome!
