Palmetto Brewing Loading Dock Music Series – Join Palmetto Brewing for the 2016 Loading Dock Music Series. Live shows every Friday at 289 Huger St. Performances begin at 6, and the music goes until close at 10PM!

Gullah/Geechee Fest: Wilmington On Fire Documentary – Wilmington on Fire is a documentary opening the Gullah/Geechee Nation International Music & Movement Festival’s Party with a Purpose with DJ Kwame Sha. Gullah/Geechee food and items will be on sale as well.

Music & Movies In The Park – Bring your blankets and chairs to Memorial Waterfront Park, sit back and enjoy free live music and an outdoor movie with the beautiful Ravenel Bridge and Charleston Harbor for a backdrop. Join us at 6:30 for live music with local band Call Momma. Local food trucks will be on hand as well!

Charleston Night Market – Area ​Artists and Artisans will take over the Charleston City Market as  THE NIGHT MARKET continues this weekend! The Night Market is located in the Charleston City Market, Charleston’s #1 most visited attraction; a venue where over 50 area artisans, artists, food vendors, and local musicians gather together, each Friday, Saturday & night, to create a memorable evening. 6:30 pm-10:30 pm.

The 5th Jam on the Water Craft Beer Concert Cruise – features a Phish Tribute by Runaway Gin aboard the Carolina Queen Friday, August 5th. Concessions by Roti Rolls Food Truck. And as always, we’ll have several selections of Sweetwater brews, a full wine and liquor bar, and a few local art vendors.

Hootie & The Blowfish LIVE @ Volvo Cars Stadium(1st of 2 shows, 2nd show: Saturday) Few bands loom larger in the collective memory of the ’90s than Hootie & the Blowfish, the unforgettably-named roots rockers behind decade classics like “Only Wanna Be with You” and “Time.” Combining heartland rock and pop sensibility, the band’s 1994 debut album Cracked Rear View went 16 times platinum.

Sam Bush @ Charleston Music Hall – Alternately known as the King of Telluride and the King of Newgrass, Bush has been honored by the Americana Music Association and the International Bluegrass Music Association. Bush has helped to expand the horizons of bluegrass music, fusing it with jazz, rock, blues, funk and other styles.

Sol Slam Music Festival (W/ Sol Driven Train) – Sol Slam is Charleston’s oceanfront music festival — a family-oriented day fest led by a night of jams from some of Charleston’s finest and their friends.  Doors open at 9pm on Friday night and 12:30pm on Saturday afternoon. Rain or shine!

Charleston Farmers Market – Located in Marion Square in the heart of Historic District in Downtown Charleston, SC, the CFM is open each Saturday, from April 9th through November 26th, 8 AM to 2 PM. There are a variety of local produce, plants, herbs and cut flowers as well as breakfast and lunch vendors, live entertainment and an assortment of juried arts and crafts from local artisans.

Johns Island Homegrown Farmers Market – The aim of Homegrown is to be a point of sustainable connection for the Lowcountry community. Homegrown also holds a mission of bringing interactive ways to educate your community on the health and environmental benefits of making sustainable choices. Homegrown offers classes, demos, and interactive opportunities for locals to be active in making sustainable choices in their lives.

Annual Surfers Healing Fundraiser, Folly Beach – is a non-profit surf camp for children with autism, offering their events free of charge for these amazing families. Surfers Healing Mission: “To enrich the lives of people living with autism by exposing them to the unique experience of surfing.”

Festivities In Charleston On Sunday, August 7th

Lowcountry Summer Coin Show – Low Country Coin Club will be holding their 2016 Summer Coin Show this coming August 5th through 7th. It will be once again held at the Ladson Fairgrounds in the Arts and Crafts building. As always there is free parking, free admission and a great deal of fun.

North Mt. Pleasant Farmers Market – The Rusty Rudder Mount Pleasant is proud to host the North Mt. Pleasant Farmers’ and Craft Market Every Sunday from 11am-3pm. Featuring items from local vendors in the Lowcountry.
