Festivities In Charleston On Friday, June 3rd

Spoleto USA! – For 17 days and nights each spring, Spoleto Festival USA fills Charleston, South Carolina’s historic theaters, churches, and outdoor spaces with performances by renowned artists as well as emerging performers in opera; theater; dance; and chamber, symphonic, choral, and jazz music.

Where: Multiple venues throughout Charleston

Palmetto Brewing Loading Dock Music Series – Join Palmetto Brewing for the 2016 Loading Dock Music Series. Live shows every Friday at 289 Huger St. Performances begin at 6, and the music goes until close at 10PM!

Where: Palmetto Brewing, downtown Charleston

When: Friday, 6 p.m.

Party @ The Point w/ Sol Driven Train & Fowlers Mustache – Party at the Point tickets: $7.00. Cash Only for entry and food/beer inside the venue. Sol Driven Train, the versatile 6-piece band, based in Charleston, SC, features rotating lead vocalists, and multi-instrumental talent spread across horns, strings, keyboards, and percussion.

Charleston Night Market – Area ​Artists and Artisans will take over the Charleston City Market as  THE NIGHT MARKET continues this weekend! The Night Market is located in the Charleston City Market, Charleston’s #1 most visited attraction; a venue where over 50 area artisans, artists, food vendors, and local musicians gather together, each Friday, Saturday & night, to create a memorable evening. 6:30 pm-10:30 pm.

Charleston RiverDogs Home Game – Wear red to the box office to support the military and save $1 off your ticket OR donate that dollar to the Wounded Warrior Corps. Stick around after the game as we light up the sky over the Ashley River with a post-game fireworks display presented by Home Telecom.

Electric Herbie: Funky Fusion Hits of Herbie Hancock – This new group will be presenting music from Herbie’s post-Miles Davis electric period, anchored by his landmark recordings from the 70’s including Head Hunters, Thrust, Man-Child, Secrets, and more!

Festivities In Charleston On Saturday, June 4th

Folly Beach Wahine Classic Surf Competition – Empowering surfer girls of all ages with a weekend of surf competition, camaraderie, and fun, while raising awareness and money for water-related non-profit organizations.

Where: The Washout, Folly Beach

When: Saturday, 8 a.m.

Charleston Farmers Market – Located in Marion Square in the heart of Historic District in Downtown Charleston, SC, the CFM is open each Saturday, from April 9th through November 26th, 8 AM to 2 PM. There are a variety of local produce, plants, herbs and cut flowers as well as breakfast and lunch vendors, live entertainment and an assortment of juried arts and crafts from local artisans.

Charleston Beach Wrestling – Beach Wrestling is one of the fastest growing styles of amateur wrestling, and it’s coming to Charleston, SC. Whether you’re an active wrestler or a former competitor, this is a unique opportunity to compete in a different way — on beautiful Folly Beach.

Johns Island Homegrown Farmers Market – The aim of Homegrown is to be a point of sustainable connection for the Lowcountry community. Homegrown also holds a mission of bringing interactive ways to educate your community on the health and environmental benefits of making sustainable choices. Homegrown offers classes, demos, and interactive opportunities for locals to be active in making sustainable choices in their lives.

Colonial Lake Grand Reopening – the Charleston Parks Conservancy and City of Charleston will host a ribbon-cutting and grand reopening celebration of the new Colonial Lake. The event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and all activities are open to the public! Mayor John Tecklenburg will join the festivities for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., followed by lunch and activities for all ages!

2016 Sweetgrass Festival – The 2016 Sweetgrass Festival will feature Sweetgrass Baskets and Basketmaking Demonstrations, Arts and Crafts, Dance Performances, Music, Food, and Children’s Activities.

When: Saturday, 12 p.m.

Charleston Veggie Crawl – Take an inside look at fresh, local, plant-based cuisine in a flourishing corner of Charleston, SC, with The Kale Whale’s “Veggie Crawl.” This food tour will get your heart pumping with a walk to each stop, where you’ll sample a delicious vegan dish and we’ll drop knowledge about the noms.

North Mt. Pleasant Farmers Market – The Rusty Rudder Mount Pleasant is proud to host the North Mt. Pleasant Farmers’ and Craft Market Every Sunday from 11am-3pm. Featuring items from local vendors in the Lowcountry.

Where: 3563 N Highway 17, Mt. Pleasant, SC

When: Sunday, 11 a.m.

Sunday Brunch Farmers Market – This is an opportunity specifically for small producers and new and beginning businesses who source locally to sell amongst their peers and to develop their market base. There will be live music and tons of local vendors. Please come out and support us!

Taco Takeover @ Tavern & Table –  Get to witness a behind the scenes look at the cooking experience with both Chef Katie and Chef Beau MacMillan, the Iron Chef America champion. Both chefs will be cooking up some delicious tacos with the proceeds from each taco being donated to I Got Legs to help wounded warriors.
