Festivities In Charleston On Friday, June 3rd

Spoleto USA! – For 17 days and nights each spring, Spoleto Festival USA fills Charleston, South Carolina’s historic theaters, churches, and outdoor spaces with performances by renowned artists as well as emerging performers in opera; theater; dance; and chamber, symphonic, choral, and jazz music.

Palmetto Brewing Loading Dock Music Series – Join Palmetto Brewing for the 2016 Loading Dock Music Series. Live shows every Friday at 289 Huger St. Performances begin at 6, and the music goes until close at 10PM!

Party @ The Point w/ Sol Driven Train & Fowlers Mustache – Party at the Point tickets: $7.00. Cash Only for entry and food/beer inside the venue. Sol Driven Train, the versatile 6-piece band, based in Charleston, SC, features rotating lead vocalists, and multi-instrumental talent spread across horns, strings, keyboards, and percussion.

Charleston Night Market – Area ​Artists and Artisans will take over the Charleston City Market as  THE NIGHT MARKET continues this weekend! The Night Market is located in the Charleston City Market, Charleston’s #1 most visited attraction; a venue where over 50 area artisans, artists, food vendors, and local musicians gather together, each Friday, Saturday & night, to create a memorable evening. 6:30 pm-10:30 pm.

Folly Beach Wahine Classic Surf Competition – Empowering surfer girls of all ages with a weekend of surf competition, camaraderie, and fun, while raising awareness and money for water-related non-profit organizations.

Charleston Farmers Market – Located in Marion Square in the heart of Historic District in Downtown Charleston, SC, the CFM is open each Saturday, from April 9th through November 26th, 8 AM to 2 PM. There are a variety of local produce, plants, herbs and cut flowers as well as breakfast and lunch vendors, live entertainment and an assortment of juried arts and crafts from local artisans.

Colonial Lake Grand Reopening – the Charleston Parks Conservancy and City of Charleston will host a ribbon-cutting and grand reopening celebration of the new Colonial Lake. The event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and all activities are open to the public! Mayor John Tecklenburg will join the festivities for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., followed by lunch and activities for all ages!

2016 Sweetgrass Festival – The 2016 Sweetgrass Festival will feature Sweetgrass Baskets and Basketmaking Demonstrations, Arts and Crafts, Dance Performances, Music, Food, and Children’s Activities.
