Charleston Restaurant Week! – The event is one of the most highly anticipated culinary events in the Charleston area. It’s an opportunity to enjoy the world-renowned cuisine of the Lowcountry as participating restaurants offer prix fixe lunch and dinner menus.

Palmetto Brewing Loading Dock Music Series – Join Palmetto Brewing for the 2016 Loading Dock Music Series. Live shows every Friday at 289 Huger St. Performances begin at 6, and the music goes until close at 10PM!

Where: Palmetto Brewing, downtown Charleston

When: Friday, 6 p.m.

Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy Oyster Roast – Tickets may be purchased at the door for $20 and includes all you can eat oysters and chili! The Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy, is a community supported non-profit 501(C)3 that serves the Lowcountry, providing a ministry of presence in times of community need.

Charleston Night Market – Area ​Artists and Artisans will take over the Charleston City Market as  THE NIGHT MARKET continues this weekend! The Night Market is located in the Charleston City Market, Charleston’s #1 most visited attraction; a venue where over 50 area artisans, artists, food vendors, and local musicians gather together, each Friday, Saturday & night, to create a memorable evening. 6:30 pm-10:30 pm.

Monster Jam – Monster Jam combines spontaneous entertainment with the ultimate off-road, motorsport competition. Monster Jam features the most recognizable trucks in the world including Grave Digger®, Max-DTM, El Toro Loco®, Monster Mutt® and many more.

The Louie D Project @ The Windjammer – The Louie D Project is a four piece band performing funk, jazz, rock, and hip-hop music. They deliver everything from smooth jazz instrumentals suitable for the quiet moments all the way to the latest pop tunes perfect for packing the dance floor.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead @ The Music Farm – Not only does this quintet play tight and vicious versions of some of the most complex songs in the Grateful Dead’s repertoire, but they play them with a rawness & energy absent from the stage since the “Live” Dead era.

Events In Charleston On Saturday, January 14th

The Charleston Marathon – The Charleston marathon is scenic 26.2-mile run that will showcase the beauty and the history of the Lowcountry, starting in downtown Charleston and ending in North Charleston.

Where: Joe Riley Stadium, downtown Charleston

When: Saturday, 8 a.m.

The Shrimp and Grits 5k – will take place in North Charleston, looping through scenic Park Circle. Music and performance groups from our local schools and community will dot the course to keep you moving!

 SCACA Gun & Knife Show – The South Carolina Arms Collectors Association will be having their annual gun and knife show at the North Charleston Conventions Center. The event will feature modern guns, antique guns, knives and ammunition.

When: Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. January 14 – 15th

Johns Island Homegrown Farmers Market – The aim of Homegrown is to be a point of sustainable connection for the Lowcountry community. Homegrown also holds a mission of bringing interactive ways to educate your community on the health and environmental benefits of making sustainable choices. Homegrown offers classes, demos, and interactive opportunities for locals to be active in making sustainable choices in their lives.

When: Saturday, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Southern Fried Chicken Challenge – This inaugural event will host 25 local vendors that will bring their vision of the perfect fried chicken to life. Enjoy dishes from top chefs and restaurants while listening to live music and indulging in deliciousness.

Where: The Grove at Patriots Point, Mt. Pleasant

2nd Annual Eat, Drink & Rescue (dog rescue event)- Outdoor Beer Tent with brews, live music, Pick A Prize Raffle with 12 amazing prizes, inflatable obstacle course for the kids and those adults who like to be kids! Local Rescues including Eunoia Rescue, Greyhound Pets of America-Charleston, Carolina Coonhound Rescue, Waters Edge Great Dane Rescue, Inc. and more!

Mex 1’s 4th Anniversary Block Party – Mex 1 Coastal Cantina and Holy City Events are throwing an epic party for Mex 1’s 4th Anniversary party! On Saturday, January 14th from 5pm-1am we are having a snowboard rail jam and block party in the front parking lot of Mex 1 West Ashley!

Coast Records Winter Jam @ The Music Farm – The event will feature music from current and former local artists: Tyler Boone, Chris Wilcox, Tom Mackell, the give & the take, Katie Rose. Tickets are $10 per person and proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Bendy Brewski Yoga – Accessible and fun Yoga inside the brewery for 45 minutes followed by a flight or pint of craft beer! We always some mats to borrow and your teacher Michele is kind, fun and knowledgeable!
