Spoleto USA Closing Weekend – For 17 days and nights each spring, Spoleto Festival USA fills Charleston, South Carolina’s historic theaters, churches, and outdoor spaces with performances by renowned artists as well as emerging performers in opera; theater; dance; and chamber, symphonic, choral, and jazz music.

Where: Multiple venues throughout Charleston

Southern Living Live 50th Anniversary – This exclusive tour will introduce you to some of Charleston’s most notable Gullah sites and provide a look into the abounding Gullah culture. Tour will cover Black History, Porgy & Bess, and the Gullah Geechee Culture of the City of Charleston, plus food and beverages prepared by local Gullah-inspired chef.

Party at the Point with Scarlet Begonias: A Tribute to The Grateful Dead – Party at the Point tickets: $7.00. Cash Only for entry and food/beer inside the venue. Scarlet Begonias is an American Rock band from Atlanta, GA paying musical tribute to the timeless sounds of the Grateful Dead.

Palmetto Brewing Loading Dock Music Series – Join Palmetto Brewing for the 2016 Loading Dock Music Series. Live shows every Friday at 289 Huger St. Performances begin at 6, and the music goes until close at 10PM!

Music On The Green: Port Authority – Join Freshfields Village each Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 pm for a complimentary concert on the Village Green! This week’s Music on the Green features Port Authority Band. Guests are encouraged to bring a beach chair or blanket for the event.

Charleston Night Market – Area ​Artists and Artisans will take over the Charleston City Market as  THE NIGHT MARKET continues this weekend! The Night Market is located in the Charleston City Market, Charleston’s #1 most visited attraction; a venue where over 50 area artisans, artists, food vendors, and local musicians gather together, each Friday, Saturday & night, to create a memorable evening. 6:30 pm-10:30 pm.

Jam On The Water Concert Cruise – Each cruise will be aboard the Carolina Queen and will feature a local band playing a tribute to a classic rock band, a food truck or local restaurant serving food, local art vendors, and seasonal selections from Sweetwater. This week’s band is Gaslight Street – Little feat tribute.

Charleston RiverDogs Home Game – Wear red to the box office to support the military and save $1 off your ticket OR donate that dollar to the Wounded Warrior Corps. Stick around after the game as we light up the sky over the Ashley River with a post-game fireworks display presented by Home Telecom.

Events In Charleston On Saturday, June 11th

Charleston Farmers Market – Located in Marion Square in the heart of Historic District in Downtown Charleston, SC, the CFM is open each Saturday, from April 9th through November 26th, 8 AM to 2 PM. There are a variety of local produce, plants, herbs and cut flowers as well as breakfast and lunch vendors, live entertainment and an assortment of juried arts and crafts from local artisans.

Johns Island Homegrown Farmers Market – The aim of Homegrown is to be a point of sustainable connection for the Lowcountry community. Homegrown also holds a mission of bringing interactive ways to educate your community on the health and environmental benefits of making sustainable choices. Homegrown offers classes, demos, and interactive opportunities for locals to be active in making sustainable choices in their lives.

Charleston Veggie Crawl – Take an inside look at fresh, local, plant-based cuisine in a flourishing corner of Charleston, SC, with The Kale Whale’s “Veggie Crawl.” This food tour will get your heart pumping with a walk to each stop, where you’ll sample a delicious vegan dish and we’ll drop knowledge about the noms.

Charleston Battery Soccer Home Game – The Charleston Battery soccer team has a home game at MUSC Health Stadium as they take on the Orlando City B.  Tickets range from $17 – $25.

Shaggin On The Cooper – Dust off your dancing shoes and get ready for summer and Shaggin’ on the Cooper! Live music of all varieties will fill the air with local bands performing throughout the season at the Mount Pleasant Pier. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

North Mt. Pleasant Farmers Market – The Rusty Rudder Mount Pleasant is proud to host the North Mt. Pleasant Farmers’ and Craft Market Every Sunday from 11am-3pm. Featuring items from local vendors in the Lowcountry.

Charleston RiverDogs Home Game – Join us all weekend to celebrate Larry Doby, the first black player to break the baseball color barrier in the American League. Before the game, kids play catch on the field! After the game kids can get to run the bases, courtesy of CPI Security.

Ultimate Dodgeball Championship Qualifier – Check-in will begin at 5 pm, games start at 6 pm. The winning team from each of the Local Qualifiers is then invited to the Ultimate Dodgeball Championship in Las Vegas. Championships will run August 4th-7th at Sky Zone Las Vegas.
