Party at The Point with The Dead 27’s – Join Party at the Point on May 13th to enjoy music from The Dead 27s and BYOG! Relentlessly making their way through the booming Charleston, SC music scene, the Dead 27s garnered the attention and praise of local media, calling them, “the exciting new band to watch” and fan support soon followed. All Events are $7.00. Cash Only for entry and food/beer inside the venue.

Movies in Marion Square: Space Jam-This week’s movie is Space Jam brought to you by Terrace Theater. The fun starts at 6 pm and as always, it’s FREE. Folk Soul Revival @ Hometeam BBQ – Folk Soul Revival was formed in Wise, Virginia in 2008 and regularly performs at regional festivals such as FloydFest and the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion. They have since been named the 2011 Band of the Year by the Virginia Tourism Corporation.

Charleston Farmers Market – Located in Marion Square in the heart of Historic District in Downtown Charleston, SC, the CFM is open each Saturday, from April 9th through November 26th, 8 AM to 2 PM. There are a variety of local produce, plants, herbs and cut flowers as well as breakfast and lunch vendors, live entertainment and an assortment of juried arts and crafts from local artisans.

HLN Reggae 5k Run/Walk Jamboree – The Run/Walk is followed by the Youth and Adult Healthy Lifestyle Jamboree which is devoted to sessions on nutrition and physical activities including nutrition workshop, African dance, Salsa, Tai Chi, Zumba, Swimming, water safety and a Celebrity Basketball Tournament. Lunch included.

Johns Island Homegrown Farmers Market – The aim of Homegrown is to be a point of sustainable connection for the Lowcountry community. Homegrown also holds a mission of bringing interactive ways to educate your community on the health and environmental benefits of making sustainable choices. Homegrown offers classes, demos, and interactive opportunities for locals to be active in making sustainable choices in their lives.

PBR – Pit Bull Rescue – Come out to this dog friendly event featuring local rescues and some adoptable Pit Bulls. We will have live music from the Mike Martin Band and live graffiti demos as well as some good eats and drinks by Smoky Oak Taproom and Pabst Blue Ribbon!

5th Annual Charleston Beer Garden – is back for the 5th annual celebration of the suds benefiting Lowcountry AIDS Services! Known as Charleston’s largest pop-up beer garden, The Grove at Patriots Point will be transformed overnight into an oasis for craft beer lovers. The festival features an epic line-up of craft brews, beer games, homebrewers, live music and more!

Charleston Veggie Crawl – Take an inside look at fresh, local, plant-based cuisine in a flourishing corner of Charleston, SC, with The Kale Whale’s “Veggie Crawl.” Ticket includes sample portions at 4-5 of Charleston’s culinary gems, a succinct informational packet, and a walk through an up-and-coming corner of town. Adult beverage purchases are encouraged, though not included in the ticket price.

Elliotborough Music Festival 2016 – This is an all day celebration of our awesome hood presented by D’Allesandros. Hyper-local, hyper-talented bands SUSTO, The High Divers,The Royal Tinfoil, WoSe of Charleston, Ka-Tet, Whitehall and fiasco will all play til 9.30. Outdoor beer garden; food trucks and merchants- including Red Rose Vintage‘s mobile vintage clothing store and more.

 Shaggin’ On The Cooper – Dust off your dancing shoes and get ready for summer and Shaggin’ on the Cooper! Live music of all varieties will fill the air with local bands performing throughout the season at the Mount Pleasant Pier. All ages are invited to let loose, breathe in the harbor breeze and dance the night away under the stars. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Buckethead @ The Music Farm – Buckethead is virtuoso guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist who encompasses several genres of music. He has released 256 studio albums, 4 special releases and an EP. He has performed on over 50 more albums by other artists. His music spans such diverse areas as progressive metal, rock, funk, blues, jazz, bluegrass, and avant-garde music.

Sunday Brunch Farmers Market – This is an opportunity specifically for small producers and new and beginning businesses who source locally to sell amongst their peers and to develop their market base. There will be live music and tons of local vendors. Please come out and support us!
