69th Annual Festival Of Houses & Gardens – Set amid the ambience of the city’s Old & Historic District, this series of award-winning tours and educational events showcase Charleston’s distinctive architecture, history, gardens and culture. The tours provide a rare opportunity for guests to go inside the private houses and gardens of some of America’s most beautiful historic residences.

Where: Various locations in downtown Charleston

Palmetto Brewing Loading Dock Music Series – Join Palmetto Brewing for the 2016 Loading Dock Music Series. Live shows every Friday at 289 Huger St. Performances begin at 6, and the music goes until close at 10PM! Featured Food Truck this week is Short Grain!

Charleston Night Market – Area ​Artists and Artisans will take over the Charleston City Market as  THE NIGHT MARKET continues this weekend! The Night Market is located in the Charleston City Market, Charleston’s #1 most visited attraction; a venue where over 50 area artisans, artists, food vendors, and local musicians gather together, each Friday, Saturday & night, to create a memorable evening. 6:30 pm-10:30 pm.

Lowcountry Wingapalooza – Tickets include entrance into the event, a sampling of every wing restaurant and the ability to vote for your favorite. Drinks and alcoholic beverages will be available and are sold separately. On top of delicious wings, Wingapalooza will feature live entertainment from Bootless, a hot wing eating contest sponsored by Sticky Fingers, a mechanical bull and more!

Charleston RiverDogs  Home Game – The RiverDogs have a home game as they face  Augusta. This game’s promotion is ISHPI Red Shirt Friday!presented by Mix 96. Wear red to the box office to support the military and save $1 off your ticket OR donate that dollar to the Wounded Warrior Corps. Stick around after the game with a post-game fireworks display presented by Home Telecom.

The Explorers Club w/ The High Divers and HADLEY – The Explorers Club are a pop/vocal harmony band formed in the coastal town of Charleston, SC in 2005.   The music of the Explorers Club is heavily influenced by the vocal harmony styles and production of The Beach Boys. They are also influenced by classic rock and roll arrangements as made popular by The Beatles, Chuck Berry, Phil Spector, The Zombies, The Monkees and The Byrds.

Widespread Panic @ N. Charleston Coliseum – Widespread Panic returns to Charleston! Since their inception in Athens, Georgia, in 1986, Widespread Panic has risen to elite status among American jam bands. Following in the steps of other Southern rock jam bands such as The Allman Brothers Band, they draw influences from the Southern rock, blues-rock, progressive rock, funk andhard rock genres.

Stop Light Observations @ The Music Farm – Stop Light Observations plays a unique style described as Southern-Retro-Electro-Rock with influences of ; Classic Rock N’ Roll, Indie, Motown, Hip-hop and Folk, Revival, Psychedelic, Garage, and Arena Rock. They claim their drive is the fun and spirit of performing and creating great songs, but most of all the camaraderie that is shared with this group of life long southern friends.

Events In Charleston On Saturday, April 23rd

Charleton Farmers Market – Located in Marion Square in the heart of Historic District in Downtown Charleston, SC, the CFM is open each Saturday, from April 9th through November 26th, 8 AM to 2 PM. There are a variety of local produce, plants, herbs and cut flowers as well as breakfast and lunch vendors, live entertainment and an assortment of juried arts and crafts from local artisans.

Johns Island Homegrown Farmers Market – The aim of Homegrown is to be a point of sustainable connection for the Lowcountry community. Homegrown also holds a mission of bringing interactive ways to educate your community on the health and environmental benefits of making sustainable choices. Homegrown offers classes, demos, and interactive opportunities for locals to be active in making sustainable choices in their lives.

Where: 3546 Maybank Hwy, Johns Island

When: Saturday, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The Lowcountry Strawberry Festival – Boone Hall Plantation will host the annual strawberry festival which will include festival rides and family attractions. Attractions include an acrobatic dog show by K-9’s In Flight, a petting zoo, giant inflatables, a giant velcro wall, tiki island obstacle course and of course tons of strawberry pickin’!

Charleston County Earth Day Festival – The festival is a hands-on science-based interactive experience, designed to encourage participants of all ages to develop a deeper understanding of environmental issues. It’s FUN. And it’s FREE! All festival activities and parking are free, except for food and beverages.

When: Saturday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Charleston RiverDogs  Home Game – The RiverDogs have a home game as they face  Augusta. Stick around following the game for a post-game 1,000 T-Shirt toss. Join us as we celebrate the Summerville community as well.

Stingrays Home Playoff Game – This is Game 5 of the ECHL’s quarterfinal series! The Stingrays lead the series 3-1 against the Kalamazoo Wings. If they can take care of business on Saturday they will move on in the playoffs and be one step closer to the Kelly Cup.

Alabama Shakes @ The Volvo Cars Stadium – Alabama Shakes is a Grammy-winning American blues rock band formed in Athens, Alabama in 2009. The group rose to prominence in the early 2010s with their distinctive and soulful roots rock sound. Dylan LeBlanc will open the concert.

Events In Charleston On Sunday, April 24th

Sunday Brunch Farmers Market – This is an opportunity specifically for small producers and new and beginning businesses who source locally to sell amongst their peers and to develop their market base. There will be live music and tons of local vendors. Please come out and support us!

29th Annual Blessing Of The Fleet & Seafood Festival – The festival pays tribute to Mount Pleasant’s local shrimping and fishing industry. Participants are treated to a boat parade and ceremonial blessing of the shrimp/fishing fleet, savory seafood samplings sold by some of Mount Pleasant’s best restaurants, live music, a craft show, art exhibition, Shag and shrimp-eating contests, and family-friendly activities. Admission and activities are free!

98 Rockfest – Come out to the Ladson Fairgrounds for Charleston’s best rock tour! There will be live performances by BREAKING BENJAMIN, Halestorm, Killswitch Engage, Lita Ford, and many more!

Charleston RiverDogs  Home Game – The RiverDogs have a home game as they face  Augusta once again. Sunday’s promotion: Gates open at 4:00PM and the game starts at 5:05PM. Will Hoge with Tyler Boone @ Charleston Pour House – An extremely prolific songwriter with ten albums under his belt and countless songs written for others (including a Grammy nomination for Eli Young Band’s number-one hit, “Even If Breaks Your Heart,” co-written with Paslay), Hoge saw this next phase of his journey as an opportunity to explore even deeper into both his country and rock & roll roots.
