National ProStart Invitational – The National ProStart Invitational is the country’s premier competition for high school students who are studying culinary arts and restaurant management. 400 ProStart students from across the globe put their knowledge and skills to the test in front of industry leaders.

Johns Island Homegrown Farmers Market – The aim of Homegrown is to be a point of sustainable connection for the Lowcountry community. Homegrown also holds a mission of bringing interactive ways to educate your community on the health and environmental benefits of making sustainable choices. Homegrown offers classes, demos, and interactive opportunities for locals to be active in making sustainable choices in their lives.

Taste of James Island – Bring non-perishable food items to support the pantry of the James Island Outreach. Activities include children’s activities, live music, raffles, and incredible food!

Charleston Fort 2 Battery Race – Extreme sailing race from Fort Sumter to the Charleston Battery. Experts only. Target start of 2pm Saturday. Sunday is contingency day for weather. Foil Regatta hosted by JIYC Fri 28, Sat 29, Sun 30 will be run from Sullivan’s Island or JIYC depending on wind conditions.
