Charleston Restaurant Week! – The event, executed by the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association, Inc (GCRA), is one of the most highly anticipated culinary events in the Charleston area. It is an opportunity to enjoy the world-renowned cuisine of the Lowcountry as participating restaurants offer prix fixe lunch and dinner menus.

Palmetto Brewing Loading Dock Music Series – Join Palmetto Brewing for the 2015 Loading Dock Music Series. Live shows every Friday at 289 Huger St. Performances begin at 6, and the music goes until close at 10PM! Featured Food Truck this week is Bac’n me Crazy! Music this week includes Abigail Palmer Group at 6 p.m. and Forty Mile Detour at 7:30 p.m.

Liquid Stranger @ The Music Farm – Rather than touting the typical electronic dance music trappings of hyper excess and ego, Liquid Stranger chooses to slip back into the shadows, allowing his music to do all the talking and listeners to do a whole lot of wondering. As a result, that music has sent shockwaves throughout the entire genre.

Charleston Night Market – Area Artists and Artisans will take over the Charleston City Market as THE NIGHT MARKET continues this weekend! The Night Market is located in the Charleston City Market, Charleston’s #1 most visited attraction; a venue where over 50 area artisans, artists, food vendors, and local musicians gather together, each Friday, Saturday & night, to create a memorable evening. 6:30 pm-10:30 pm.

Events In Charleston on Saturday, January 16th
6th Annual Charleston Marathon – The Charleston marathon is scenic 26.2-mile run that will showcase the beauty and the history of the Lowcountry, starting in downtown Charleston and ending in North Charleston. Music and performance groups from our local schools and community will dot the course to keep you moving! Check out the video above for a video course tour.

Lowcountr Civil War and Artifacts Show – American Digger magazine presents the annual South Carolina Low Country Civil War Show & Sale. While many of the vendors and displays are Civil War related, don’t let the name fool you. Artifacts from ancient times up to WWII can be found at this show!

Lowcountry Lab Rescue Meet & Greet – Meet the people behind Lowcountry Lab Rescue and their mission. Lowcountry Lab Rescue continues to successfully place endangered Labradors in loving homes because of the kind contributions of its donors. Since their staff is 100% volunteer, you know your entire donation is going directly to the care of our Labs.

Taste of Folly – A mid-winter street festival in Folly Beach celebrating Folly’s wonderful restaurants and bars. Participating restaurants include Jack of Cups, Woody’s, Locklears, Rita’s, Surf Bar and whole lot more. There will also be dozens of street vendors, live entertainment, kids activities, a cocktail contest and lots of great specials at all the local restaurants.

SC Stingrays vs. Alaska Aces – The South Carolina Stingrays have a home game at the North Charleton Coliseum as they take on the Alaska Aces on Saturday night. This will be the first of two games played back to back, as they face off again on Sunday in North Charleston. Tickets range from $5 – $25 and are available on Ticketmaster.

Weigh Station @ The Pourhouse – Since their formation in April of 2006 the members of Weigh Station have become a strong, dynamic, and creative force in the Charleston music scene. Charleston Marathon Bike Ride – Ride along the water front homes on Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island pass within 60 feet of the Sullivan’s island light house. View of Ft. Sumter – from Sullivan’s paved road, closest view from land to see Ft. Sumter, with docent on hand to answer questions and tell the story of the first shot of the Civil War.
