Charleston Jazz Festival – The highly anticipated Charleston Jazz Festival is back for its second year in the Holy City with a star-studded line-up. The annual festival brings together hundreds of jazz lovers from across South Carolina for three days of jazz performances by award-winning artists.

When: Friday, January 22nd – 24th

SC Stingrays vs. Atlanta Gladiators – The South Carolina Stingrays have a home game at the North Charleton Coliseum as they take on the Atlanta Gladiators on Friday night. This will be the first of two games played back to back, as they face off against the Swamp Rabbits on Saturday in North Charleston. Tickets range from $5 – $25 and are available on Ticketmaster.

Palmetto Brewing Loading Dock Music Series – Join Palmetto Brewing for the 2016 Loading Dock Music Series. Live shows every Friday at 289 Huger St. Performances begin at 6, and the music goes until close at 10PM! Featured Food Truck this week is Bac’n me Crazy! Music this week includes Band of Lovers at 6 p.m. and  The Way Down Wanderers at 7:00 p.m. and  Pierce Edens at 9 p.m.

12th Annual Charleston Riverdogs Hot Stove Banquet – Hall of Fame second baseman and former manager Ryne Sandberg will be the featured guest at the Charleston RiverDogs 12th Annual Hot Stove Banquet & Auction on January 22 in the Charleston Marriott Crystal Ballroom. The Hot Stove Banquet is an annual event hosted by the Charleston RiverDogs that brings all baseball fans together to celebrate the magic of America’s Favorite Pastime.

Charleston Night Market – Area ​Artists and Artisans will take over the Charleston City Market as  THE NIGHT MARKET continues this weekend! The Night Market is located in the Charleston City Market, Charleston’s #1 most visited attraction; a venue where over 50 area artisans, artists, food vendors, and local musicians gather together, each Friday, Saturday & night, to create a memorable evening. 6:30 pm-10:30 pm.

Events in Charleston on Saturday, January 23rd

 SCACA Gun & Knife Show – The South Carolina Arms Collectors Association will be having their annual gun and knife show at the North Charleston Conventions Center. The event will feature modern guns, antique guns, knives and ammunition.

When: Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. January 23rd – 24th

Music and Oysters for Wildlife 2016 – is presented by Palmetto Brewing featuring musical acts from The Loose Hinges, Cravin’ Melon and Friends, Red Dog Ramblers, and Danielle Howle/Mark Bryan Jam. This is a benefit for Friends of Coastal South Carolina. There will be a silent auction beer, wine, soft drinks, BBQ and burgers for purchase.

Oysters on the Point – A sister of Party at the Point, this once a month winter series features locally steamed oysters, live music by Bootless, and plenty of beer choices. It is hosted on Saturday afternoons from 2pm – 6pm. There will also be lots of eclectic vendors so come out and buy local! $5 General Admission, 12 & under Free. Featuring $11 Buckets of Oysters, Chili, Hamburgers, Chicken Sandwiches, Bloody Mary Bar, S’mores and live music by Bootless.

Standup Comedian T.J. Miller – T.J. Miller is one of the most sought after comedians in the comedy world, but not in the drama world, or the finance world. One of Variety’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch,” EW’s “Next Big Things in Comedy.” You may recognize his non-animated face and body from his role in 2014’s surprise indie hit TRANSFORMERS 4, or Mike Judge’s HBO comedy series SILICON VALLEY, which just wrapped shooting its second season.

Diane Shuur & Charleston Jazz Orchestra – Opening the show will be 2 Time Grammy award winner, Diane Schuur performing with the Charleston Jazz Orchestra led by Charlton Singleton, recently named Artist in Residence by the Gaillard.
