Shark Week @ SC Aquarium – Find fun shark activities around every corner as we celebrate the ocean’s apex predator. Enjoy special dive shows, educational stations and photo opportunities centered on sharks.Shark Week activities are included with Aquarium admission.

Team Hendrick Sertoma Football Classic – Lowcountry high school teams kick off football season at this annual community charity by bringing rival high school football teams together to play for a great cause! Tickets are $12.

Where: Johnson Hagood Memorial Stadium

When:  Kickoff 5:30 p.m., Friday

Palmetto Brewing Loading Dock Music Series – Join Palmetto Brewing for the 2016 Loading Dock Music Series. Live shows every Friday at 289 Huger St. Performances begin at 6, and the music goes until close at 10PM!

Music & Movies In The Park – The Town of Mount Pleasant continues its Music & Movies in the Park series presented by Y102.5 by taking you back to the 80s and 90s with music by local throwback band Weird Science and the hilarious adventure comedy Space Jam. Food trucks will be on hand.

Charleston Night Market – Area ​Artists and Artisans will take over the Charleston City Market as  THE NIGHT MARKET continues this weekend! The Night Market is located in the Charleston City Market, Charleston’s #1 most visited attraction; a venue where over 50 area artisans, artists, food vendors, and local musicians gather together, each Friday, Saturday & night, to create a memorable evening. 6:30 pm-10:30 pm.

The Frtitz w/ Nocturnal Kernalz @ The Pour House –  Steadily building a reputation as a live act not to be missed, Asheville music ambassadors The Fritz, played a strong year of sets showing thousands of new fans what throngs of Southeastern music lovers have known for years: The Fritz likes to get funky.

Charleston Farmers Market – Located in Marion Square in the heart of Historic District in Downtown Charleston, SC, the CFM is open each Saturday, from April 9th through November 26th, 8 AM to 2 PM. There are a variety of local produce, plants, herbs and cut flowers as well as breakfast and lunch vendors, live entertainment and an assortment of juried arts and crafts from local artisans.

Johns Island Homegrown Farmers Market – The aim of Homegrown is to be a point of sustainable connection for the Lowcountry community. Homegrown also holds a mission of bringing interactive ways to educate your community on the health and environmental benefits of making sustainable choices. Homegrown offers classes, demos, and interactive opportunities for locals to be active in making sustainable choices in their lives.

Spirit Of The River Festival – This is a non-profit event to bring awareness to issues facing the Edisto River and other waterways in our state and to educate the public on safety in paddling. Activities include Stand Up Paddleboarding 101, Kayaking 101, Bellyak & SUP Try out, Kayak Rolling Demonstration, Kayak & SUP Obstacle Race and Kayak Fishing 101. There will also be food, music, vendors and games.

Plantation Singers 20th Anniversary Concert – The Plantation Singers of Charleston, SC are a professional a cappella singing group renowned locally, nationally and internationally for their singing of the music of the Lowcountry. This group of very talented singers is special in that each has a lifetime of musical experience.

Screening of Jackie Robinson Documentary – Sarah Burns and David McMahon, directors of the film, will be present for commentary and discussion following the film. Raphael James of WCSC-Live 5 News will be host for the evening.

Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series – The five-race Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series at James Island County Parkfeatures a 600-yard freshwater swim, 12-mile bike ride, and 5K flat run. Over 30,000 people have raced the series over the years.
