Deep Water Property in the Wild Dunes Neighborhood on the Isle of Palms

Isle of Palms Marina

Isle of Palms Marina

While Wild Dunes is primarily known as a beach-centered family resort, potential homeowners should not overlook the fact that this community offers so much more in termsof home site options. If a deep water property is more your style than a beach cottage, Wild Dunes may be exactly what you’re looking for. There are two different options for boating enthusiasts who reside at Wild Dunes. The first is the Wild Dunes Yacht Harbor, which offers one hundred and two dock slips at the Morgan Creek Harbor. This marina provides gated parking for slip owners, as well as the usage of the showers and bathrooms at the Halfway House.  A second option for those seeking access to their boats in Wild Dunes would be to purchase one of the exclusive deep water lots in the subdivision. These lots back up to Morgan Creek, the Intracoastal Waterway or Wadmalaw Sound, depending on the location. Most of these deep water lots can accommodate craft up to eighty feet or so, which means that your next boating trip is only a quick walk down your dock. From either the Yacht Harbor or from one of the deep water lots, the Intracoastal Water and the Atlantic Ocean are a quick boat ride away.

Deep Water Property in the Dunes West Neighborhood in Mount Pleasant

The planned community Dunes West, located in north Mount Pleasant off of Highway 41, has something to offer every budget and every style. One of the communities located within the larger Dunes West subdivision, Harborside at Dunes West, brings its own unique approach to Lowcountry living through its luxurious homes and beautiful marsh, creek and deep water home sites. The home sites bordering Toomer Creek and the Wando River often come with permits for building deep water boat slips or docks, and many of the existing homes come with constructed docks or piers. A beautiful day boating, tubing and relaxing on the Wando is only steps from your new backyard. If you’d like to go on a longer boat ride, the Charleston Harbor and (beyond that) the Atlantic Ocean are a short trip down the Wando. In addition to these activities, the homeowners in Harborside also have access to the amenities at the Club at Dunes West, which include pools, waterslides, a fitness center, and 18-hole golf course and tennis courts.

Deep Water Property in the Old Village Mount Pleasant

Pitt St. Bridge Old Village Mt. Pleasant

Pitt. St. Bridge Old Village Mt. Pleasant, SC

Old Village Mount Pleasant combines the charm of historical downtown Charleston with the serenity that comes with living away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Many residents of the Old Village were originally drawn to the area for the feeling of community and history, as well as its prime location. The Old Village sits on the corner of the Charleston Harbor and Shem Creek, so there are many opportunities to purchase homes on deep water. The homes built on the harbor are some of the oldest in the Old Village, as they were originally built by settlers to catch the cool breezes wafting off of the water during the hot, humid summer months. Bennett and Pitt Streets offer homes bordering on the harbor; many of these already have deep water docks and piers in place. The homes on the Shem Creek side of the Old Village provide beautiful views of Mount Pleasant’s most popular waterway (which includes the Mount Pleasant Pier, kayak rentals and many fantastic seafood restaurants). Look for homes located on Haddrell Street if you’d like to own a little piece of deep water on Shem Creek.
