Weekend Events In Charleston On Friday, November 1st

Coastal Carolina Fair – The Coastal Carolina Fair is an annual fair that occurs at the Exchange Park Fairgrounds in Ladson, South Carolina. There are annual exhibits in Creative Arts, Two Flower Shows, Fine Art Photography Exhibits, and Farm Animals in the Barn. The fair is an all volunteer fundraiser of The Exchange Club of Charleston.

Where: Exchange Park Fairgrounds, Ladson 

When: Friday, 3 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Striped Pig Distillery Tours and Tastings – Join us for tours & product tastings, Thursday & Friday 3-7 and Saturday 12-5. The last tours begin at 6 P.M. on Thursdays and Fridays and 4 P.M. on Saturdays. We also carry merchandise, and of course, all of our spirits are available for purchase at the distillery as well as in liquor stores and at bars and restaurants in South Carolina.

Pre-Happy Hour @ Edmund’s Oast -Daily Pre-Happy Hour — from 3:00-4:30 p.m. Enjoy 12-ounce house beers for $3 each and a featured wine by the glass for $3 per half pour and $6 per full pour. Stop by any day of the week to enjoy this!

Lowvelo Opening Ceremony – Celebrate the launch of LOWVELO, an outdoor bike ride with 100 percent of rider-raised dollars going to cancer research. The festivities will feature performances from several local acts including The Blue Dogs. The celebration, also will include a traditional Lowcountry feast, along with beer and wine.

AFFA Gala 2019-Join us for an evening of dinner and dancing as we celebrate our achievements and look to the future! Cocktail reception & silent auction including live music featuring the Emerald Empire Band with after party and late night DJ.

Charleston City Night Market – The Charleston City Night Market is an exciting showcase of more than 100 talented artists and craftspeople that occurs every Friday and Saturday evening from April – December. The Night Market runs from 6:30 – 10:30 p.m and is a free event that is open to the public.

Boone Hall Fright Nights – The attractions at Boone Hall Fright Nights are designed to frighten and to entertain. Guests will react differently to the various creatures and special effects contained within our three attractions. Our attractions are not recommended for guests under the age of 12 or those who do not like being scared.

Nightly Spirits Pub Tour – Nightly Spirits, the nation’s largest haunted pub tour company providing tours in 14 cities across the nation, is bringing its spooky ghost tales and lively tour guides to Charleston. Tour that includes some pub time to drown the darkness, locals and tourists ages 21-and-up will gain access to exclusive off-limits areas throughout Charleston’s most “spectered” saloons.

Perpetual Groove w/ Kendall Street Company – Based in Athens, GA, Perpetual Groove is a long time well established touring act with an enthusiastic fan base and international critical acclaim. PGroove’s music has been described by their fans as anthemic arena rock.

SUPer Scary SUP RaceCome out for a day of fun and sun when we host our Annual SUPer Scary SUP race. Following the race, there will be an after party at Surf Bar with free food, and drinks for purchase.

Charleston Farmer’s Market – Join us every Saturday in beautiful Marion Square and peruse the aisles, where you will enjoy a wide variety of 100+ Local Vendors, including; Farmers & Growers, Sweet & Savory Food Concessions.

Lowcountry Farmers Market – Every week the market will feature fresh produce from local farmers and growers, handmade arts, crafts, food trucks, vendors, music, entertainment and more.

Johns Island Homegrown Farmers Market – The aim of Homegrown is to be a point of sustainable connection for the Lowcountry community. Homegrown also holds a mission of bringing interactive ways to educate your community on the health and environmental benefits of making sustainable choices. Homegrown offers classes, demos, and interactive opportunities for locals to be active in making sustainable choices in their lives.

18th Annual Harvest Festival – Performing throughout the day will be five bluegrass bands featuring entertainment from local performers Blue Plantation, Gravel Road, YeeHaw Junction, Marshgrass Mamas, and Red Cedar Review. Plenty of food will be available for purchase, including Southern barbecue, roasted and boiled peanuts, kettle korn, and traditional favorite festival fare, plus cold beverages. A  crafters’ market features will feature a variety of hand-made items that make perfect holiday gifts.

Oysters on the Point – A sister of Party at the Point, this once a month winter series features locally steamed oysters, live music, Bloody Mary Bar, and plenty of beer choices.

Best Friends Festvial – Summerville – As we prepare for municipal elections up and down the future Transit line in Summerville, N. Charleston and Charleston, we’ll bring together candidates, organizations and people with music, entertainment, ideas and food to mark the first step in the final phase to bring the Lowcountry together.

Brew at The Zoo – Brookgreen Gardens will host their ninth annual Brew at The Zoo on Saturday, November 2nd. Guests can sip more than 30 different craft beers and enjoy food while strolling through Brookgreen’s Lowcountry Zoo, which features animals native to the Lowcountry’s woods, swamps, and waters in their natural habitats.

Magnolia Cemetary Tour – This 90 minute tour offers a glimpse into nearly every nook and cranny in downtown Charleston and second to The Battery, Magnolia Cemetery is the most beautiful. Offered at 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm on Friday and Saturday nights.

Bendy Brewski Yoga – Accessible and fun Yoga inside the brewery for 45 minutes followed by a flight or pint of craft beer! We always some mats to borrow and your teacher Michele is kind, fun and knowledgeable!
