Movies in Marion Square – Movies in Marion Square is back for it’s 11th year this spring! Join the Charleston community for this free event every Friday for the next month! Bring your own blankets and chairs and enjoy food and drink from local food trucks and vendors. This is a family-friendly event, just make sure to check out which movie is playing first! Marion Square, 329 Meeting Street – FREE!

The Festival Oyster Roast and Picnic – Historic Drayton Hall is excited to host a fun-filled festival on their beautiful grounds. Enjoy all that Lowcountry cuisine has to offer with steamed oysters as appetizers, along with other Southern fare, beer, wine and soft drinks. Admission to the festival includes a guided tour of the historic house and grounds as well an Easter egg hunt for the younger crowd. Easter Egg Hunts Around Town! – I’ve put together a list of Easter Egg hunts your children can enjoy all over town! Charleston is known for its amazing Easter Egg hunts on Easter weekend – you won’t want to miss it!

  • Magnolia Plantation – The hunt begins at 10:30am. Children will be divided into three age groups for the 30-minue hunts on the lawn next to the Peacock Café.

  • Middleton Place – The Easter Extravaganza is back again this year at Middleton Place! This famous event features tons of games for kids all day long, including one amazing Easter Egg Hunt!

  • Hampton Park – Head to Hampton Park for the largest Easter Egg hunt in Charleston County!

Lowcountry Farm Tours – Lowcountry Local First is hosting a really neat event that opens up 6 farms from Johns Island and Wadmalaw for public touring. Meet the farmers and get a behind the scenes look at the practices of Charleston area farmers! This is part of Eat Local Month and is sure to be a fun, informative event. Riverdogs Run Forrest Run 5k – Hosted by Fleet Feet, this fun run begins at the front of the Joe and ends at the stadium’s home plate, being cheered on by the Riverdogs players! Race begins at 4:00pm. Joe Riley Park, 360 Fishburne Street

Underwear Comedy Party – Ever heard the advice “just pretend everyone is in their underwear” when you’re nervous about public speaking? Well Atlanta comedians Joe Pettis has turned the idea around, literally, and performs his entire act in his boxers! Head to Theater 99 at 10pm for this hilarious show.
