Boone Hall Fright Nights – Boone Hall Fright Nights is open and ready for guests! Now through Halloween! Celebrate the Halloween season at Boone Hall Plantation with tons of scary events for folks 12 years and older. Children are admitted but Boone Hall does NOT recommed that children under 12, pregnant women or people prone to strokes enter the event. Haunted hayrides, a zombie town and other attractions will scare even the most wicked of hearts. Close-toed shoes are highly recommended. Prices vary, $27 for an all-inclusive ticket. Party At The Point – Head to Charleston Harbor and Resort to enjoy the music of The Occasional Milkshake with Bobby Houck and the Blue Dogs. Bella Vita Premiere and Bikini Fashion Show – Just because Summer is gone doesn’t mean the bikini’s have left the city! Join Las Olas for the premiere of surf documentary Bella Vita and then enjoy a bikini fashion show hosted by Las Olas! FREE. 8pm-12am. The Alley, 131 Columbus Street.

Rock The Vote, Charleston!– Enjoy live music at The Pour House while learning and talking about the upcoming midterm election in a non-controversial way. The City of Charleston is sponsoring a booth providing information about voter registration and requirements, whether you’re from out of state or you just don’t know about the procedure. FREE. 4pm-9:30pm. The Pour House, 1977 Maybank Highway.

Gibbes Museum Renovation Kick-Off – Gibbes Museum is launching it’s incredible renovation plan with a kick-off celebration! For the first time in the history of the museum, the building will be emptied of its artifacts and treasures and guests will be invited to explore the spaces and learn about the future of the Gibbes. Activities will be offered from dawn to dusk – it will begin with yoga and it will end with shag dancing in the main gallery! Visitors of all ages can participate in interactive demonstrations, art activities and more. Live music will be featured and food and drink will be available for purchase. $35 for members, $45 for non-members. 9am-9pm. Gibbes Museum of Art, 135 Meeting Street.

Tailgating for Troops Cornhole Championship – Love cornhole? The USS Yorktown is hosting the inaugural World Championship of Cornhole for Tailgating for Troops. Active duty and veterans will be competing in one bracket, along with a competitive bracket and a recreational bracket. Along with a cornhole tournament, the community is invited to an after hours event on the Flight Deck of the USS Yorktown for food, drinks and a night to celebrate our military heros.  $10 party admission. 7pm-10:30pm.
