Friday November 21

The Charleston Classic – College of Charleston will be hosting some great competition this year in their annual Fall tournament. The 2014 Charleston Classic college basketball tournament will take place at the TD Arena. This year’s participants are South Carolina, Cornell, Charlotte, Southern California, Akron, Drexel, Miami, and Penn State. $22 for single session tickets (2 games included). Times vary! TD Arena, 66 George Street.

YOGAPOP: Gratitude – Enjoy a one hour yoga class followed by live music, fashion, food and drinks. It is sure to be a wonderful night of fellowship and gratitude! Memminger Auditorium has hosted this festival for three years in a row now and it becomes more and more popular each year! The session is taught by Elli Boland and all levels of yoga are welcome! $32 at the door. 7pm-9pm. Memminger Auditorium, 56 Beaufain Street.

Miss South Carolina and Miss Teen South Carolina Prelims – Miss South Carolina comes back to Charleston for the 14th year in a row! The 2015 Miss South Carolina USA and Miss Teen South Carolina USA pageants will be held at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center again. $41-$52 at the door. Show begins promptly at 7:30pm. North Charleston Performing Arts Center, 5001 Coliseum Drive

James Taylor – Friday is sure to be an unforgettable night with America’s iconic singer-songwriter James Taylor. Tickets starting at $66. 8pm. North Charleston Coliseum

Saturday November 22

Charleston Farmers Market – We are running out of time for Farmers Market Saturdays! There are only a few left in the season (ends December 20) so be sure to take advantage of the last couple of weeks of local, fresh produce, delicious food trucks and Lowcountry artists! FREE! 8am. Marion Square, on the corner of King Street and Calhoun Street.

15th Annual Chili Cookoff and Oyster Roast – Support animals in need of good homes in the Charleston area by being part of the 15th annual chili cookoff to raise money for the Charleston Animal Society. It is sure to be a delicious time. Live music and lots of fun. $20 for admission. 1pm-5pm. Johnson Hagood Memorial Stadium

Moustache Competition – Have you been perfecting your moustache during No Shave November? If so, Mex 1 will be the place for you to be on Rob Fowler returns as a Celebrity Judge along with Chris Brown of Holy City Brewing and a brewer from Palmetto. Join us for the competition, sweet prizes, an ice luge, live music and awareness and fundraising for prostate and testicular cancer. FREE! 7pm-11pm. Mex 1 Coastal Cantina, 817 St. Andrews Blvd.
