Freshfields Village - Music on the green in Charleston

Music On The Green – Join Freshfields Village on Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm for a free, outdoor concert on the Village Green featuring Chris Crosby Band. This soulful band offers a diversity of music styles, including acoustic, folk, jazz, rock, country, beach, and Motown. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and beach chairs for the event.

Palmetto Brewery Loading dock Concert Series – Every Friday night from 5:30pm – 9:00pm, Awendaw Green brings in bands with strong local followings to play on Palmetto’s former loading dock turned concert stage. In addition, a different food truck parks out front of the brewery each week. Palmetto pints are $5/each, and tours are offered every hour on the hour.

Whiskey Diablo @ Hometeam BBQ, Sullivans Island – Charleston South Carolina based Whiskey Diablo write, record and preform music that one listener eloquently described as “gutter country, jazz and swing cut with booze drenched chainsaw rock n roll”. Another listener described it as “the soundtrack to a Quentin Tarantino film.”

10th Annual Palete and Pallete Stroll – This event started as a partnership with supporting local restaurants to put together an event that would raise funds for local art programs. The Palette & Palate Stroll is also dedicated to the appreciation of delicious food and the amazing variety of fine art that Charleston has to offer.Attendees will once again stroll through the streets of the historic city, making stops at participating galleries, tasting creations from some of the best local chefs. The event sells out every year and brings a fashionable crowd of art and food enthusiasts out to the streets in the middle of summer when things slow down a bit.

Cast Off Fishing Tournament – The Folly Beach Pier is one of the best destinations in the Lowcountry for pier fishing. This breathtaking landmark stretches out 1045’ into the sparkling Atlantic Ocean and offers spectacular views, fishing, dining, tournaments, special events, and more throughout the year! Online registration ends the Thursday before each tournament. Shaggin on the Cooper – Dust off your dancing shoes and get ready for summer and Shaggin’ on the Pier! Live music of all varieties will fill the air with local bands performing throughout the season at the Mount Pleasant Pier. All ages are invited to let loose, breathe in the ocean breeze and dance the night away under the stars. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

5th Annual Super Hero Bar Crawl – One of the favorite bar crawls throughout the year is the annual Super Hero Bar Crawl where costume clad party goers dress up and bar hop around downtown Charleston! The event starts at MYNT for registration at 7pm-8pm. Please bring your ticket printed out or on your phone so we can scan you in.  From Mynt, all bar crawlers will be walked from bar to bar by the staff and given an event itinerary with all the bars and times on it. Your ticket will include FREE COVER to all participating venues on the crawl, an event koozie, entry into the costume contest prize of $100 Visa Gift Card, and drink specials at each venue. Bendy Brewski Yoga– The brewery opens its doors early for 45 min. of all-levels yoga followed by a flight of beer. Mats are available to borrow. Food truck and public rolls in at noon. Beth is a 200-hr certified Vinyasa Flow teacher with trainings in Yoga as Medicine, Senior Yoga, Prenatal Yoga and Yin Yoga. She enjoys teaching Yoga full-time: in the studio and corporate setting. Beth is the founder of Bendy Brewski where she partners with local Breweries to bring Yoga to beer lovers.

Pet Helpers at PetCo – Pet Helpers will be at Petco every week with adoptable cats and dogs. Cats and dogs start at $25. Pet Helpers is a private, nonprofit Rescue and Adoption Center and low-cost Spay/Neuter & Veterinary Center that serves communities across the Lowcountry.  Our mission is to end the euthanasia of all adoptable cats and dogs by keeping all animals until adopted; providing low cost spay/neuter surgeries; offering humane education programs; pursuing animal-cruelty prosecution; and initiating animal-welfare legislation.
