RiverDogs Celebrate Mayor Joseph Riley – The stadium, already named after the mayor, will hold a special pregame ceremony to thank the mayor for being such a good friend to and supporter of the baseball team. The first 1,000 fans to the game against the Orioles affiliate team, the Delmarva Shorebirds, will receive a commemorative Mayor Joe Riley figurine. Fireworks will conclude the game.

Music On The Green – Come on out to Freshfields Village on Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm for a free, outdoor concert on the Village Green featuring  Groove Train.  The high-energy, versatile group featuring rich vocals and an expansive repertoire from classic R&B, Pop and Rock favorites to more recent hits.

Moon Light Mixer on Folly Beach – Shag the night away under the stars at the Folly Beach Edwin S. Taylor Fishing Pier, where DJ Jim Bowers will be spinning the hottest oldies and beach music for you all night long. Beverages will be available for purchase on site. ID is required to purchase alcohol.

Saturday, July 25th

Ride For Love and benefit for the Mother Emanuel AME Church– Ride with Stops to Honor each of the 9. Registration will be held at Low Country Harley-Davidson from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. There will be an after party at Palmetto Brewing 289 Huger St. from 4 – 6 p.m. Includes honor ride, after party at Palmetto Brewing, raffle, prizes, and more! 1st 100 get a free memorial t-shirt! Food Trucks on site – available for purchase. 100% benefits the families of those who lost their life on 6/17/15. Event sponsored by Low Country Harley-Davidson, Palmetto Brewing, and Awendaw Green.

Gullah/Geechee Family Day – Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation and the Mosquito Beach Business Association are inviting the public to “Gullah/Geechee Famlee Day” to launch“Gullah/Geechee Nation Appreciation Week” on historic Mosquito Beach in Charleston County, SC.  This event will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from Noon until 6 pm featuring music, food, Gullah/Geechee crafts and demonstrations, tours of this historic Gullah/Geechee seaport community, and book, DVD, and CD signing by Queen Quet herself.  Admission is FREE and the event is open to the entire public of all ages.

Jump in the Park Kids Day – Enjoy a day of family fun in the park meadow. They will have multiple jump castles on site with unlimited jumps available for $5. One inflatable attraction will be available for 2 to 4-year-olds only. Facepainting will also be on site, as well as fresh popcorn, ice cream and drinks for sale.

Ladybugs Flying Free at Magnolia Plantation – More than 150,000 ladybugs will fly free July 25 at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens during the Lowcountry’s largest release of the environmentally friendly insect. A red Volkswagen beetle, resembling a gigantic ladybug, will arrive at 10 a.m. to signal the start of the ladybug release. Hundreds of children, some dressed in ladybug costumes, will scatter throughout gardens to find the perfect spot to release their share of ladybugs.

Palmetto Brewing Loading Dock Series – Join Palmetto Brewing for the 2015 Loading Dock Music Series. Live shows every Friday at 289 Huger St. Performances begin at 6, and the music goes until close at 10PM! Featured Food Truck this week is Short Grain!
This Weeks Performers start 6pm,  featuring The Fustics and LYRIC.

Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series – The five-race Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series at James Island County Parkfeatures a 600-yard freshwater swim, 12-mile bike ride, and 5K flat run. Over 30,000 people have raced the series over the years, and the series has been honored as one of the Top Ten Charleston Signature Sport Events by the Charleston Metro Sports Council.

Bazaar At The Point – Make sure you check out Bazaar at the Point Sunday, July 26th from 11am-2pm. We will have several different vendors as well as a live band. Bring the whole family out for a nice day in Charleston. Bazaar at the Point is pet friendly too.
