The Good Friday Festival Oyster Roast

Festival Oyster Roast and Picnic – Fun for the whole family, the Festival Oyster Roast and Picnic held on Good Friday will allow you to experience the unique culinary pleasures of the Carolina Lowcountry at the historic Aiken-Rhett House Museum, a property of Historic Charleston Foundation.Steamed oysters will be served along with other Southern Cuisine, beer, wine and soft drinks.

Catch Me If You Can Musical – This high-flying, splashy Broadway musical, inspired by the film starring Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio, and with a score from the creators of Hairspray, Catch Me If You Can: The Musical tells the true story of Charleston’s own Frank W. Abagnale, Jr., who as a teenager conned his way into cockpits, operating rooms and courtrooms across the country.

When: Starts Friday, April 3-26

Family Circle Cup on Daniel Island

Family Circle Cup on Daniel Island

2015 Family Circle Cup – The Family Circle Cup, a Premier event on the WTA Tour, has a roster of past champions that include some of the biggest names in the history of women’s tennis including Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, Tracy Austin, Steffi Graf, Gabriela Sabatini, Martina Hingis, Jennifer Capriati, Venus Williams, Justine Henin, and Serena Williams. There will be balloon artists, face painting, magicians, jump castles, climbing walls, rope courses, and more. If you’re looking for an Easter celebration but don’t want to miss out on Family Weekend fun, you’re in luck.

When: Starts Saturday April 4th-12th

Where: 161 Seven Farms Drive, Daniel Island – Family Circle Cup Stadium

Easter Eggstravaganza at Middleton Place –  Bring a basket for the egg hunts which will take place in the Gardens. Once found, the hard-boiled eggs can be taken to the Stableyards to be dyed. Additionally, children play colonial games, participate in the Egg Roll and Egg Toss, hear classic stories and make Easter crafts.

Charleston Battery vs. Harrisburg City Islanders – Come cheer on the Charleston Battery soccer team as they take on the Harrisburg City Islanders. Tickets to the match start at $10, and can be purchased online here, or over the phone at 843.971.GOAL (4625).

When: Gates open at 6 p.m. in advance of the 7:30 kickoff on Saturday, April 4th

 Charleston Farmers Market Re-Opens –  There will be a larger variety of produce and plants than ever before! Stroll the market while choosing from the Lowcountry’s  freshest local produce, seafood, meats, plants, herbs and cut flowers. This year’s Charleston Farmers Market will feature a variety of local farmers and growers from John’s Island, Walterboro, McClellanville, Summerville, Charleston, James Island, Cross, Wadmalaw, Moncks Corner and Holly Hill, SC.

When:  Open Saturdays 8am to 2pm

Lowcountry Kids Expo – This annual expo is focused on sharing essential resources regarding safety, health & wellness, special needs, education, child care, and other important family-related topics. Free activities include bounce houses, face painting, an Easter Egg Hunt, stage performances, balloon art, crafts, and more.

Magnolia Plantation and Gardens

Easter Sunrise Service at Magnolia Plantation –  Join Father Marshal at Old St. Andrews Parish Church and St. Andrews Mission Church for a truly special Easter service. After the service, those who attend will have free admission to Magnolia plantation all day. You and your family are welcome to have a picnic, roam the grounds and enjoy the azaleas, or grab breakfast at the Peacock Cafe, opening at 8:30 a.m. Parking for the service will be free.

When: 6:30 am, Sunday

Where: 3550 Ashley River Road, Magnolia Plantation and Gardens

Bendy Brewski Yoga – Come out to Holy City Brewery as it opens  its doors early for 45 minutes of all-levels yoga followed by a flight of beer. Mats are available to borrow. Food truck and public rolls in at noon.

When: 11 am-4 pm, Sundays
