Charleston Eclipse Weekend Events On Friday, August 18

2017 Football Season Kick-Off Party – The Kickin Chicken will be at the beautiful Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation. Tickets include food, beer, wine, and open bar. Tickets are $45, $10 for kids 12 & under. Home Team BBQ will be catering. Live & Silent Auction.

Palmetto Brewing Loading Dock Music Series – Join Palmetto Brewing for the 2016 Loading Dock Music Series. Live shows every Friday at 289 Huger St. Performances begin at 6, and the music goes until close at 10PM!

Where: Palmetto Brewing, downtown Charleston

When: Friday, 6 p.m.

Music On The Green – Each  of the concert performances will be held on the Village Green in Freshfields Village, located at the crossroads of Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. The series will continue every Friday night through September 1st. Music this week: Shrimp City Slim.

Charleston Night Market – Area ​Artists and Artisans will take over the Charleston City Market as  THE NIGHT MARKET continues this weekend! The Night Market is located in the Charleston City Market, Charleston’s #1 most visited attraction; a venue where over 50 area artisans, artists, food vendors, and local musicians gather together, each Friday, Saturday & night, to create a memorable evening. 6:30 pm-10:30 pm.

Moonlight Mixer @ Folly Beach – Shag the night away under the stars at the Folly Beach Edwin S. Taylor Fishing Pier, where DJ Jim Bowers will be spinning the hottest oldies and beach music for you all night long.

When: Friday, 7 – 11 p.m.

RiverDogs Home Game  – The Joe will become the happiest place on earth with everyone’s favorite music playing all night long in a night of classic and current hits from Disney, culminating in a Home Telecom Friday Fireworks.

Rock The Rescue – is a two day music festival benefiting the Frances R Willis Animal Shelter. 40 bands will be invading 6 venues on August 18th and 19th. The Tin Roof, The Sparrow, Shooters, Sand Shack, Pub on 61 and Southern Shakers Bar and Grill.

The Killer Whales @ The Windjammer  The Killer Whales played their first show at Captain Harry’s Blue Marlin Bar in Charleston in early 1980, and they quickly found themselves playing to enthusiastic audiences throughout the southeast.

Charleston Farmers Market – Checkout the Charleston Farmers Market every Saturday in beautiful Marion Square and peruse the aisles, where you will enjoy a wide variety of 100+ Local Vendors, artisans and craftsmen, as well as farmers and growers!

Johns Island Homegrown Farmers Market – The aim of Homegrown is to be a point of sustainable connection for the Lowcountry community. Homegrown also holds a mission of bringing interactive ways to educate your community on the health and environmental benefits of making sustainable choices. Homegrown offers classes, demos, and interactive opportunities for locals to be active in making sustainable choices in their lives.

When: Saturday, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Solar Eclipse Safety – with NASA Specialists (all ages) Main Library Auditorium. Enjoy hands-on activities with NASA Specialists, and learn how to safely view the upcoming solar eclipse.

Where: Charleston Country Public Library

When: Saturday, 11 – 11:45 a.m., 3 – 3:45 p.m.

RiverDogs Home Game  – Fox and their local affiliate are bringing back a fan-favorite one more time this season with the final helicopter ball drop of the season. Trailers of their new upcoming television shows– The Gifted, Ghosted, and The Orville –will be shown throughout the night.

Bendy Brewski Yoga – Accessible and fun Yoga inside the brewery for 45 minutes followed by a flight or pint of craft beer! We always some mats to borrow and your teacher Michele is kind, fun and knowledgeable!

Sunday Brunch @ The Granary – The Granary is now serving brunch again every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Indulge in dishes such as duck and waffles, shrimp and grits or huevos rancheros along with mimosas, bloody marys, Moscow mules and other brunch cocktails.

Sunday Brunch Farmers Market – This is an opportunity specifically for small producers and new and beginning businesses who source locally to sell amongst their peers and to develop their market base. There will be live music and tons of local vendors. Please come out and support us!

RiverDogs Home Game  –The RiverDogs welcome members of all faiths to join on the final MUSC Health Family Sunday in the Holy City of the season to celebrate Charleston’s diverse religious community. Head to The Joe for an evening of family fun as the RiverDogs don their pinstriped uniforms.

Total Eclipse Of The Lanes – Before the 2017 Solar Eclipse join us at The Alley for a special edition of Light Up The Lanes – Eclipse style. We’ll be lighting it up with cosmic bowling complete with lights, lasers and beats from DJ Precise.

Snapper Jack’s Solar Eclipse Party – Join Snapper Jack’s on the rooftop on Monday for a Solar Eclipse Watch Party. With complimentary viewing glasses, live music, and drink specials Snapper Jack’s is the place to be.

Where: Snapper Jack’s, Folly Beach

When: Monday, 12 – 3 p.m.

Solar Eclipse @ The Harbour Club – Enjoy a total solar eclipse experience including: Chef Montgomery’s out of this world eclipse menu, solar eclipse glasses, sun souvenirs, and the view of a lifetime! $65+ per person. Includes lunch, solar eclipse glasses, sun souvenirs, and the view of a lifetime!

Solar Eclipse @ Republic Garden & Lounge – Solar Eclipse viewing party on the patio. $25 Per Person Includes a glass of Chandon étolie “Star” brut or rose solar eclipse glasses and the view of a lifetime. Chandon étoile & sweet star will be available by the glass.

When: 12:30 – 4 p.m.

The Carolina Girl’s Eclipse Cruise will board at 12:45 pm and will journey around the harbor from 1 pm to 4 pm. Special eclipse glasses will be provided to all guests. The event will include an open bar and light Hors d’oeuvres.

Solar Eclipse @ The Joe – Charleston is the final U.S. city that will see the totality of the rare solar eclipse at 2:48pm on Monday, August 21st. The RiverDogs’ are hosting NASA experts and educational exhibits, as the gates open at 1:00 and the game starts at 4:05.

Solar Eclipse Party @ Bay Street Biergarten – A Solar Eclipse Party complete with drink specials from on Reyka Vodka, Flor De Cana Rum & a delicious wit bier called Scattered Sun. Plus, it will all be accompanied by beats by DJ Rehab.
