Friday, June 27th

The 2014 Hemmings Motor News Great Race – Are you a motorist enthusiast? Love vintage automobiles? The Hemmings Motor News Great Race will be coming to Mt. Pleasant this weekend with more than 100 vintage, antique and collector cars participating in the display. All the cars are very rare and are all model year 1972 or older. The oldest car participating will with a 1915 Hudson, but you’ll see famous cars like the “General Lee” and a real life recreation of “Doc Hudson”, made popular in Pixar’s movie, Cars. Food, beer and wine will be available for purchase so stop by and enjoy the show! The USS Yorktown at Patriots Point, 40 Patriots Point Road, Mt. Pleasant. 4pm-8pm. Free admission.

Family Flick Night at Charlestowne Landing – Join other families in beautiful Charlestowne Landing for a family friendly movie as the sun goes down! The movie showing will be Despicable Me 2. The event is free to get in and Charlestowne Landing will be serving pizza, s’mores, popcorn, snack and soft drinks for purchase. No outside coolers, food or alcohol is permitted. The movie will begin at dusk, but you can start setting up your picnic area/chairs at 6pm. Charlestowne Landing, 1500 Old Towne Road, Charleston. 6pm-8:30pm. Free admission

Season Finale of Party at the Point – The Party at the Point season ends with The Ultimate Journey Tribute Band. Gates open at 5:30pm and a cash bar will be available along with food for purchase. Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, 20 Patriots Point Road, Mt. Pleasant. 5:30pm. $7 admission.

Saturday, June 28th

The Bachelor Casting Call – Get ready bachelors of Charleston…The Bachelor is coming to Charleston to find it’s next, new hunk. It’s pretty easy — head to Cinebarre in Mt. Pleasant, fill out the required paperwork and talk to the casting directors on camera. Then they’ll decide if you are man enough to be the new bachelor on primetime TV. Nick Holzworth will be the first in line. Cinebarre, 963 Houston Northcutt Blvd. 1pm-5pm. Free.

Super Hero Bar Crawl – Join other superhero enthusiasts and drink til you drop at Charleston’s 3rd Annual Super Hero Bar Crawl. The bar crawl will begin a Mynt and the rest of the venues will be announced soon. Tickets are available online and the first 200 crawlers will get a free event koozie! Costumes are not required but are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. Mynt, 135 Calhoun St, Charleston. 7pm-2am. $15 for tickets.
