Folly Beach

4th of July Fireworks on Folly – Celebrate Independence Day the Folly way! Head over to the Folly Beach County Park on the west end of the island to enjoy a 4th of July fireworks display, starting at 9:30pm. The 4th of July fireworks display is sponsored by the Folly Association of Business, Southern Eagle Distributors and Cape Romain Contractors. When: 9:30 – 10:30 p.m. Where: Folly Beach County Park

Isle of Palms

Come out to front beach Isle of Palms near the Isle of Palms pier and County park for an awesome fireworks display. Catch the scenic beach views, enjoy the sunset or grab a bite to eat at one of the award winning restaurants on front beach before the show. Fireworks are visible from just about anywhere on the beach. Where: Front beach Isle of Palms When: 9:15 p.m.

Kiawah Island

Kiawah Island Independence Festival in the Park – This festival will kick off following the Annual Bike Parade at Night Heron Park. Festivities include live music, tye dye, face painting, train rides, carnival games, and much more! Food will be served until 9:30pm. Menu will include: gourmet burgers, hot dogs, ribs, pulled pork, shrimp skewers and watermelon. Food prices range between $5 – $15. Food and beverage tickets will be on sale at Villa Registration and in the park throughout the day and at the event. Night Heron Grill will close for food service at 4pm, bar will be open until 10pm. No coolers please.

Mount Pleasant

Middelton Place 4th of July Weekend – Spend the weekend at the home of a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Readings of the Declaration of Independence and interactive demonstrations will take place throughout the day, including meeting a Revolutionary soldier, colonial crafts, games and a hands-on military drill. Time: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Cost: free with General Admission

Patriots Point 4th of July Blast –The museum’s Independence Day celebration is considered one of the country’s most patriotic ways to spend the holiday.  The limited number of Flight Deck tickets are expected to sell quickly. This year, two different Flight Deck ticket options are available. Flight Deck opens at 6 p.m. Where: Patriots Point, Mount Pleasant

 

Uncle Sam Jam – Enjoy the cool harbor breeze as you dance to live beach music at the perfect venue for celebrating our independence – the Mount Pleasant Pier! At the foot of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, stretching 1250 feet out into Charleston Harbor, the scenic Mount Pleasant Pier will also be a great spot to watch the area’s best fireworks displays! Join in on our party at the end of this scenic pier, and groove to live beach and party music. Time: 7-11 p.m. AddressMount Pleasant Pier 71 Harry Hallman Blvd Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. Cost: $10.

 

North Charleston

North Charleston 4th of July Festival – The City of North Charleston is once again hosting the July 4th celebration at the Riverfront Park. This year’s event features exciting musical guests, children activities, food trucks, craft vendors, and the Lowcountry’s largest 4th of July fireworks show. The festival is presented free of charge to the public with all general admission for attendees.  Guests attending the Festival are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets, as there is no seating provided.  Food trucks, beer and wine stations, and ATMs will be widely available. Children activities are available free of charge, including inflatable jump castles, games, the play area, the giant sandbox, and the water fountain. Beer and wine stations will be set up throughout the park as well. When: 3:30 – 9:45 p.m. Where: Riverfront Park, North Charleston

Sullivans Island

Independence Day Parade – Join us as we start the celebration the Island way! Deck out your golf carts and bikes with your most patriotic supplies and join us for a parade down Middle Street. Line up at the Sullivan’s Island Elementary School at 8:00am and the parade will commence at 8:30am. The parade will end at the Fish Fry Shack but the fun will keep on going! We will beat the heat with watermelon, shaved ice and cupcakes! Arts and crafts will be provided as well. Don’t forget to bring your water guns and be prepared to face off against the Sullivan’s Island Fire Department! Where: Sullivans Island Elementary School When: 8:00 a.m.

Fireworks In The Park – Please join us at 6pm on the 4th of July for our annual celebration in the J Marshall Stith Park. Shem Creek Boogie Band will continue our island tradition of beach and shagging music! Bring your picnic basket and a blanket. Come early to get a good spot! At dusk, Zambelli’s Fireworks will WOW us with an amazing fireworks show! Bring a blanket, chair and bug spray.  Sorry – no alcohol, coolers or pets. Where: J Marshall Stith Park, Sullivans Island When: 6 p.m. 

Summerville

Red, White, and Blue on The Green – On Saturday, July 4th, 2015 Summerville DREAM, in conjunction with the Town of Summerville, we will kick off the Independence Day celebrations with the annual Summerville tradition Red, White and Blue on the Green in Gahagan Park @ 515 W. Boundary Street sponsored by Nexton.  From 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Jerry Blackwell Sports Complex at Gahagan Park will be the center of old-fashioned 4th of July family fun with musical entertainment, games, childrens’ activities, jump castles, and the ever popular patriotic newspaper hats.
